摘要： An apparatus for inclining a roller on which a pressure belt is suspended to perform a deviation control of the pressure belt, which can well perform the deviation control of the pressure belt even when the pressure belt has been spaced apart from a fixing roller. A fixing device is provided with a pressure belt suspended on rollers, a deviation control device adjusting the deviation of the pressure belt, and a pressure unit bringing the pressure belt into pressure contact with a fixing roller to form a nip portion. The deviation control device is designed to be moved with the pressure unit.

摘要： An image heating apparatus includes an image heater for heating an image on a recording material. The apparatus also includes a first temperature detecting member that detects a temperature of the image heating member, with the first temperature detecting member provided in a sheet processing region for a recording material of a minimum size. A controller is also provided for controlling electric power supply to the image heater on the basis of an output of the first temperature detecting member. Further provided is a second temperature detecting member is that is capable of detecting a temperature of the image heating member when the image heating member is contacted or is not contacted with a belt. A controller is also provided for controlling the image heating operation on the basis of the temperature of the image heating member.

摘要： In a fixing apparatus capable of reducing unevenness in temperature distribution in an axial direction while reducing heat loss at an end portion, a fixing belt 11 extended around a fixation roller 13 and a fixation tension roller 14 is heated by a coil unit 28 for effecting induction heating. The fixation tension roller 14 is assembled by inserting a heat pipe 15 into a hollow roller 14a. At both end portions, the hollow roller 14a is covered with a cover portion having small holes.
