摘要: A highly active and environment-friendly catalyst for use in a living radical polymerization is provided. A catalyst for use in a living radical polymerization method is provided. The catalyst comprises a central element, which is selected from nitrogen and phosphorus, and at least one halogen atom, which is bound to the central element. A monomer having a radical reactive unsaturated bond is subjected to a radical polymerization reaction in the presence of the catalyst, thereby it is possible to obtain a polymer having narrow molecular weight distribution. The present invention has the merits such as low toxicity of the catalyst, a small amount of the catalyst being required, high solubility of the catalyst in the polymerization media, mild reaction conditions, no coloration, no odor (unnecessary post-treatment of molded products). The method of the present invention is more environment-friendly and economical than other living radical polymerization methods.

摘要: In automatically generating a source code from a block diagram, it is essential to efficiently confirm the validity of the source code that is converted from the block diagram, and also in cases of starting usage of a new code generating tool, it is important to efficiently confirm the validity of that code generating tool. In order to perform this task, the design assistance device for software of the present invention automatically generates source code based on a block diagram describing the processing procedure for controlling a device for control by utilizing plural block elements and the connective relation between those plural block elements. The design assistance device for software generates a first data flow expressing the block diagrams and their connective relation by using nodes and links; generates a second data flow expressing the dependent relation among functions or variables in the source code by utilizing nodes and links; and finds and outputs the coincidence between the first data flow and second data flow.

摘要: A system for integrating databases comprises a first virtual table, a second virtual table, a common table, a list, a generating section, and a selecting section. The first virtual table corresponds to a first data. The second virtual table corresponds to a second data. The common table is associated with the first and second virtual tables. The list indicates information about associations between the first and second virtual tables and the common table. The generating section generates two or more access plans from a database query on the common table. The two or more access plans involve at least one of the first and second virtual tables in accordance with the list. The selecting section selects one of the two or more access plans generated by the generating section to be used to execute the database query.

摘要: A semiconductor integrated circuit device with a balun which is formed above a conductive semiconductor substrate and which includes a dielectric film, an unbalanced line for transmitting an unbalanced signal, and balanced lines for transmitting a balanced signal. The unbalanced line is placed opposite to the balanced lines via a nano-composite film that is a region of the dielectric film. The nano-composite film, interposed between the unbalanced line and the balanced lines, has a relative permittivity higher than that of other regions of the dielectric film. This allows suppression of electromagnetic coupling of transmission lines or passive elements other than the balun, thereby providing a semiconductor device with a wide-band and small-size balun.

摘要: Provided is a low-cost, environmentally friendly living radical polymerization catalyst having high activity. The catalyst is used for a living radical polymerization method, and contains a central element consisting of oxygen and at least one halogen atom bound to the central element. Furthermore, an alcohol compound can be used as a catalyst precursor. By polymerizing a monomer in the presence of the catalyst, a polymer having narrow molecular weight distribution can be obtained, and the cost of the living radical polymerization can be remarkably reduced. The present invention is significantly more environmentally friendly and economically excellent than conventional living radical polymerization methods, due to advantages of the catalyst such as low toxicity of the catalyst, low amount of the catalyst necessary, high solubility of the catalyst, mild reaction conditions, and no coloration/no odor (which do not require a post-treatment for a molded article), and the like.
