摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a head, processing circuitry, and a reader. The head includes a first nozzle, a second nozzle, and a third nozzle at a position different from the first nozzle in a conveyance direction of a recording medium. The circuitry controls relative movement of the medium and the head along a main scanning direction and relative movement of a conveyance amount between the medium and the head along the conveyance direction. The circuitry controls the head to form a first test pattern with color ink discharged from the first nozzle, form a second test pattern with color ink discharged from the third nozzle, and form a mask image overlapping on or under the first pattern and overlapping on or under the second pattern with base ink discharged from the second nozzle. The reader reads positions of the first pattern and the second pattern on the medium.

摘要： A liquid discharge apparatus includes a recording head configured to discharge a liquid to form a pattern on a recording medium and a reading device configured to read the pattern. The apparatus further includes circuitry configured to form at least two first markers while moving the recording head relative to the recording medium in a head movement direction; form a second marker at one of positions of the at least two first markers, to form a pattern including a reference marker formed with one of the at least two first markers and a measurement marker in which the second marker is overlaid on another of the at least two first markers; and measure a distance between the reference marker and the measurement marker in the head movement direction based on information obtained by the reading device.

The curl correcting device includes a correcting roller that is attached to the first guiding member. The engaging part includes a hole including an oblong shape so that the first guiding member is movable apart from the second guiding member. An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device that forms an image on a sheet, and the sheet discharge device.

摘要： A roll-sheet feeding device having a roll sheet wound in a roll to feed a portion of the roll sheet to an image forming unit, includes a progressive mechanism to transmit a drive force from a drive source to transfer the portion of the roll sheet from the roll in a progressive direction, a roll-sheet drive mechanism to receive the drive force transmitted via the portion of the roll sheet transferred in the progressive direction, a rewinding mechanism to transfer the portion of the roll sheet in a direction opposite to the progressive direction via the roll-sheet drive mechanism to rewind the roll sheet, and a regenerating mechanism to obtain the drive force from the roll-sheet drive mechanism and transmit the obtained drive force to the progressive mechanism to regenerate the transmitted drive force as another drive force in addition to the drive force from the drive source.
