Abstract:
The invention relates to a sustained release tablet which comprises easily disintegrable granules containing(a) a drug,(b) a disintegrating agent selected from the group consisting of starch derivatives, gums, cellulose derivatives and ion-exchange resins, and(c) a water soluble polymer selected from the group consisting of cellulose derivatives, synthetic water soluble polymers and polysaccharides, the surfaces of which granules are treated solely with a wax selected from the group consisting of plant or animal wax, hydrogenated oils and paraffin.

The invention relates to a pharmaceutical oral capsule preparation filled with a substantially anhydrous mixture which is in solid or semi-solid form comprising:(a) a drug or a drug treated by a conventional manner, each of which is in solid form, and(b) a drug carrier which is a semi-solid mixture comprising a selected aqueous polymer and a selected liquid oil, the ratio of aqueous polymer to liquid oil by weight being 2:1 to 1:40.
