    摘要: An electrode device is for microwave coagulation therapy disclosed in which the direction of its electrode tip can be controlled by operation in its proximal region. The device comprises: a handpiece provided with a rigid hollow support shaft extending toward a distal end, a movable support provided at the distal end of the support shaft and carrying thereon an electrode, a coaxial cable which is connected at its proximal end to a coaxial connector and extending through the support shaft and connected in the movable support to the electrode, wherein: (a) the movable support comprises one or more links each surrounding the coaxial cable and longitudinally connected to the distal end of the support shaft so that the movable support can be bent and stretched in a single plane, and (b) the electrode device comprises a resilient stiff member fixed at one of its end to the deflection side of the most distal one of the links composing the movable support and extending through the support shaft and so connected at its proximal end to a control section of the handpiece that the resilient stiff member can be pulled and pushed back at the proximal end of the handpiece.

    摘要: Disclosed is an electrode device for microwave surgery which is provided with a marker securely fixed to the central electrode, which marker can provide a magnetic susceptibility artifact of a uniform size and shape free of fluctuation among electrode devices. The electrode device comprise a central conductor body, a tubular insulator body which covers the central conductor body except its distal end, a tubular external electrode which covers the tubular insulator body except its distal end part, and a central electrode which covers the distal end part of the central conductor body. The central conductor body, the insulator body, the external electrode and the central electrode are made of a nonmagnetic material, and a cylindrical member made of a magnetic material is fit around the distal end part of the central conductor body. At least one projection is defined on the lateral face of the central conductor body at the distal side of the cylindrical member, and the cylindrical member engages with the projection in the distal direction.

    摘要: A medical apparatus comprising an apparatus body and a terminal instrument which operates when receiving a terminal output which is an electric or electromagnetic output. The terminal instrument is provided with an installed cell of predetermined capacity and the apparatus body is provided with a circuit for measuring the electromotive force (emf) of the installed cell while discharging the emf via a predetermined resistance as the terminal instrument is used. A comparator compares the emf with a standard voltage and the output command is blocked from the primary control section when the emf of the installed cell is below the standard voltage. Moreover, an alarm is generated when the emf of the installed cell is below the standard voltage level during the use of the terminal instrument.
