    摘要: Disclosed is an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a sheet. The image forming apparatus comprises a unit for forming a toner image on the sheet and a flash fixing unit for fixing the toner image onto the sheet by an emission of light from a flash lamp. The flash fixing unit includes a first unit having a first flash lamp disposed at the center and a second unit having second flash lamps disposed on both sides of the first flash lamp and exhibiting a light emitting energy larger than a light emitting energy of the first unit. The second flash lamps disposed at a pitch smaller than the pitch at which the first lamps are disposed. With this construction, the fixing energies at both ends of the flash fixing unit increase, and the fixing energy at the center decreases. It is therefore possible to prevent an ill-fixed state and improve a fixing efficiency.

    摘要: A continuous-medium-box feeding device feeds a continuous-medium box to a printing device printing on a continuous medium fed from the continuous-medium box containing the continuous medium. The continuous-medium-box feeding device includes a set table capable of sliding between a first position and a second position adjacent to the first position, and a stand-by table capable of sliding between the first position and a third position adjacent to the second position. At the first position, the continuous medium can be fed from the continuous-medium box to the printing device. At the second position, the continuous-medium box can be removed from the set table. At the second and third positions, a continuous-medium box containing a continuous medium to be printed on next can be placed on the stand-by table. In the continuous-medium-box feeding device, the stand-by table can feed the continuous-medium box on the set table positioned at the first position.

    摘要: A flash fixing apparatus effectively collect vapor gas produced at the time of fixation while fixing a toner image of medium by means off flashlight. In the flash fixation unit, vapor gas produced in flash fixation flows toward the medium transportation direction. Utilizing this phenomenon, a gas suction face is provided in a gas collector so as to receive the vapor gas flowing toward the medium transportation direction. Otherwise, a gas blast portion is provided at the rear stage of the gas collector. The vapor gas flows to the gas suction face naturally, bringing about improved gas collection efficiency.
