摘要: There is provided a tape core wire manufacturing apparatus that makes it possible to manufacture a large variety of tape core wires in small quantities with ease, and in addition, makes it easy to apply a uniform coating over a broad width. In the tape core wire manufacturing apparatus of the present invention, a coating apparatus that applies a coating material to respective optical fiber core wires has a coating head that moves in the longitudinal direction relatively to the respective optical fiber core wires that have been placed in a row on a coating jig. The coating head has a position adjustment surface that is located in the vicinity of a coating member of the coating head and adjusts the positioning in the thickness direction of the respective optical fiber core wires when these are in the form of a tape. This position adjustment surface is pressed against the respective optical fiber core wires. The coating head is also able to be tilted in the longitudinal direction.

摘要: An optical interconnection apparatus which is very easy to handle and does not cause excessive bending and breakage of the optical fibers when connecting with other optical apparatus is provided. The optical interconnection apparatus includes a base sheet and plural optical fibers two-dimensionally routed on the base sheet via an adhesive layer. The optical fibers form a routing pattern having at least a straight part, a crossing part, a curved part or a fiber pitch changing part. The apparatus further includes another base sheet this is adhered on the said routed optical fibers. The two base sheets have a different sizes so that one of the base sheets does not exist in the vicinity of the edge of the other base sheet at which the optical fibers are outwardly extended.

摘要: A barrel for a twin screw extruder having a pair of helical screws has a barrel body provided with a pair of partly overlapping cylindrical bores, and the pair of helical screws are rotatably supported in the pair of cylindrical bores of the barrel to mix and extrude a molding material. An abrasion resistant layer is formed in at least portions of the surfaces of the pair of cylindrical bores extending in the vicinity of at least one of the two lines of intersection of the pair of partly overlapping cylindrical bores. The abrasion resistance of the abrasion resistant layer has a maximum in a portion thereof around the line of intersection of the pair of cylindrical bores and decreases gradually with distance from the line of intersection. The abrasion resistant layer is formed by depositing a material containing a hard substance by build-up welding, and the hard substance content of the material in the abrasion resistant layer is varied with distance from the line of intersection. The abrasion resistant layer is formed by depositing a material consisting of a corrosion resistant base alloy and a hard substance. The abrasion resistant layer may be formed on a corrosion resistant layer formed over the entire surfaces of the pair of cylindrical bores.

摘要: A microwave oven comprises a heating element which produces heat by absorption of microwave radiation and on which is placed a material to be cooked with the interposition of a material support therebetween. If required, the heating element is disposed on a heat insulating body. A shield cover is arranged on the support for enclosing the material to be cooked placed on the support and for limiting the amount of microwave radiation which is allowed to be incident on the material from the exterior thereof. The material to be cooked is internally heated upon irradiation with the radiation and at the same time the heating element produces heat which is applied to the surface of the material through the material support. When the material support comprises a metal plate, an electric insulating body which prevents a spark discharge is arranged between the shield cover and the metal plate.
