The unified simulator includes a process simulator simulating at least one process based on the input data and outputting process characteristic data, a device simulator simulating at least one device based on the process characteristic data and outputting device characteristic data, and a circuit simulator simulating a circuit comprising the at least one device. Accordingly, multiple devices can be simultaneously optimized for the optimization of circuit characteristics and an accurate specification at process and device levels can be provided.

The scanner module includes a light source generating light to be irradiated onto an object and a light guide member extending in correspondence with a width of the object. The light guide member has a reflective surface defined by a plurality of reflective grooves, some of which arranged to be non-parallel with other ones. Light is effectively diffused and/or scattered in the width direction of the light guide member by the reflective grooves, allowing a uniform light distribution across the scanning width.

    摘要: Disclosed are an illuminator and an image forming apparatus employing an illuminator. The illuminator includes a light guide to guide light generated from a light source to an object to be illuminated. The light guide includes at least one incidence face facing the light source and an emission face configured to emit the light to the target object. A diffusion pattern may be formed on the emission face to extend from one longitudinal end to the other longitudinal end of the emission face. The emission face may have a constant cross section or a varying cross section along a longitudinal direction thereof. The illuminator may be part of an image reading device to uniformly or near uniformly irradiate light to a document. The illuminator may also be incorporated in an image forming apparatus to irradiate light to a photosensitive body for elimination or reduction of electric potential from the photosensitive body.
