    摘要: A system and method for authenticating a host on a network enables the host to update IP configuration and internal configuration of a storage controller connected to the network. The host has an algorithm to decrypt a security key supplied by the storage controller. The host broadcasts a discovery command which includes an IP address of the host and a service requested by the host. The discovery command conforms to a proprietary discovery command protocol. In response to the discovery command, the host receives a response from a storage controller which is able to provide the requested service. The response includes a WWN, IP configuration and a security key of the storage controller, and conforms to the discovery command protocol. Next, the host decrypts the security key received from the storage controller using the decryption algorithm, and sends an updated IP configuration to the storage controller along with the security key for authentication. Next, the host exchanges other keys with the storage controller using IKE and IPSec. Afterwards, the host sends an updated internal configuration to the storage controller.

    摘要: Snapshot sets comprising snapshot criteria are created, maintained, and executed via a command set designed to facilitate managing and conducting snapshots on data distributed across multiple volumes. Snapshot criteria such as source volume, target volume, redundancy level, copy mode, and the like are added as desired to a snapshot set. Upon invocation of an execute command, the fast replication operations defined by the snapshot set are executed, providing a logically atomic data replication utility potentially involving multiple sources and targets. In one embodiment auto selection of a target may be specified, thus facilitating over-subscription of target resources. The present invention reduces the complexity of archiving data—particularly data distributed across multiple volumes such as data associated with database applications and the like.

    摘要: An interactive voice response system includes a server and a set of mobile clients. The server and clients include RF transceivers for exchanging messages over an RF channel. Each mobile client includes a microphone, a speaker or headset, a processor and a voice browser. The voice browser interprets voice pages received from the server. Upon receiving a particular voice page from the server, the voice browser outputs via the speaker voice prompts specified by the voice page. A speech recognition engine used by the voice browser converts voice responses from a user into a text response. The voice browser then performs an action based on the text response. The action taken may be to request a new voice page from the server, or to continue to interpret the current voice page.

    摘要: For turbo-diesel application trucks, it is desirable to enable the quickest exit of the exhaust from the engine because, in most cases, the exhaust gas temperatures of these engines are very high. Thus, a hole is formed in the hood of the trucks and the exhaust stack is slid through the hole to permit the quickest exit of the exhaust into the atmosphere. However although the hood may be non-horizontally oriented, the stack should be kept in a vertical position. Thus, a stack mounting basket is positioned beneath the hole having three widely separated outwardly extending threaded bolt extensions that are positioned within three slotted downwardly extending elongated members affixed to the hood. The relative positions of the elongated members with respect to the threaded bolt extensions are adjusted, and nuts are tightened over the elongated members to permit the stack to maintain a vertical orientation.

    摘要: A system and method for authenticating a host on a network enables the host to update IP configuration and internal configuration of a storage controller connected to the network.     摘要: A self-closing access door for use with external umbilicals in aerospace launch vehicles is provided. The self-closing access door comprises two door panels joined by a spring-loaded hinge, the latter of which is attached to surrounding structure of the vehicle. When an external source is applied to the door panels, the panels are opened such that fluid flow, i.e. air conditioning, may enter the vehicle from the external umbilical. When the external source is removed, the spring-loaded hinge forces the door panels closed. The self-closing access door further comprises latches on each door panel that firmly secure the door panels to the surrounding structure. A cover plate is also provided that includes an outer lip for attachment to the surrounding structure and an inner lip, which is engaged by the latches. The spring-loaded hinge also comprises a door stop that limits the distance that the door panels may be opened.
