摘要： A vehicle cockpit of modular construction includes at least one crossmember extending over the width of the cockpit and at least two submodules, each of which accommodates preassembled components. The submodules can each be fastened to the crossmember. The submodules are self-supporting so that they are able to be freely handled as preassembled subassemblies and so that they pass on their own weight and external loads directly to the crossmember. Installation and fitting the vehicle cockpit of modular construction includes first preassembling a plurality of submodules with a variety of different components groupings, selecting ones of the preassembled submodules to be installed, and connecting the selected submodules to the crossmember.

摘要： A vehicle cockpit includes a head-up display, a transverse beam, and an end wall for separating the cockpit from the engine compartment. To fit the head-up display in a relatively easy manner, attachment means are provided for pre-fitting or pre-installing the head-up display on the transverse beam and for a final fitting of the head-up display on a further supporting body part. As a result, the transverse beam with the pre-fitted head-up display can be inserted in the vehicle as a module.

摘要： Plug connections used to connect at least two modules of a motor vehicle cockpit to a main cable harness each comprise a first plug element and a second plug element which is designed as a suitable mating piece for the first plug element. Each of the first plug elements is electrically connected to the main cable harness and each of the second plug elements is electrically connected to a module cable harness which is part of one of the at least two modules. In order to simplify mounting of the modules, the plug connections are of identical design and are formed in a self-finding manner. The first plug element is in each case mechanically connected to the body of the motor vehicle and is arranged in an end region of the body, and the second plug element is mechanically fixed to an outer face, which is directed toward the end region of the body, of the respective module.
