    摘要: Methods of brokering a transaction between a first party and a second party with a trusted transaction server (TTS) and apparatus therefor. In an aspect, the method includes receiving at the TTS a request for a brokered transaction from the first party over a first communication channel and authenticating the identity of the first party with the TTS. The TTS stores a transaction code with at least some transaction details received from the first party. The TTS receives a message containing the transaction code from the second party over a second communication channel and matches the transaction code with the stored transaction details. The TTS sends a request for authorization for brokering the transaction to the second party. The TTS then authenticates the identity of the second party by way of a secret code and brokers the transaction.

    摘要: A contact enrichment system is provided to determine whether contacts stored in a mobile device match profiles stored on a social network server. Profiles matching the contacts are used to enrich the contacts by appending information such as images and video to the contacts. The appended information in the contacts are also linked to the source profile so that the contact information may be periodically updated. Information may be drawn from multiple profiles on multiple social network servers to fully enrich the contacts stored on the mobile device.

In an aspect, the method includes receiving at the TTS a request for a brokered transaction from the first party over a first communication channel and authenticating the identity of the first party with the TTS. The TTS stores a transaction code with at least some transaction details received from the first party. The TTS receives a message containing the transaction code from the second party over a second communication channel and matches the transaction code with the stored transaction details. The TTS sends a request for authorization for brokering the transaction to the second party. The TTS then authenticates the identity of the second party by way of a secret code and brokers the transaction.

    摘要: The present invention envisages a data access, replication or communications system comprising a software application that is distributed across a terminal-side component running on a terminal and a server-side component; in which the terminal-side component and the server-side component (i) together constitute a client to a server and (ii) collaborate by sending messages using a message queuing system over a network Hence, we split (i.e. distribute) the functionality of an application that serves as the client in a client-server configuration into component parts that run on two or more physical devices that commuunicate with each other over a network connection using a message queuing system, such as message oriented middleware. The component parts collectively act as a client in a larger client-server arrangement, with the server being, for example, a mail server. We call this a ‘Distributed Client’ model. A core advantage of the Distributed Client model is that it allows a terminal, such as mobile device with limited processing capacity, power, and connectivity, to enjoy the functionality of full-featured client access to a server environment using minimum resources on the mobile device by distributing some of the functionality normally associated with the client onto the server side, which is not so resource constrained.

Together the terminal-side executable and the server-side executable form a client to a larger server and collaborate by sending messages using a message queuing system over a network.
