A wavelength selector in an optical scanner is operative for selecting a first laser beam having a predetermined wavelength to produce a first scan pattern, and for selecting a second laser beam having a different wavelength to produce a second scan pattern. The scan patterns have a different number of scan lines. The selected scan pattern is scanned over indicia, e.g., a bar code symbol, to be read.
Abstract:
The therapeutic massaging device has a housing or cover, with a top surface, bottom surface, and sides, with the top surface having a head member, neck member, and a back member. The housing includes at least one motor and the motor vibrates portions of the top surface thus massaging the user's neck and back. The device includes one temperature control element that can be controlled by a smart phone. Further, the housing may have at least one speaker, at least one light source, and a plurality of fasteners. The device also has an interchangeable head member.

Upon selection of a second operational mode by a user, a controller intermittently operates and energizes the light source to emit the light beam for a working time period which is less than, and a fraction of, the scan period to generate a single scan line across the symbol.
