    摘要: A method, a component, a system, and a computer program for changing an encoding mode of an encoded data stream from a first encoding mode to a second encoding mode are disclosed. The encoded data stream at the first encoding mode is represented by first encoding parameters. For the encoding mode change the steps of selecting (20) a first set of the first encoding parameters to be used unchanged at the second encoding mode, selecting (30) a second set of the first encoding parameters, changing (40) the second set according to an algorithm being adapted to change the second set to match to the second encoding mode when combined with the first set, and combining (50) the first set and the changed second set for representing the encoded data stream by second encoding parameters at the second encoding mode are performed.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and arrangements for controlling transmission of data bits in a bit transfer session for transmitting data information from an application server (2) to a client (1), said bit transfer session involving bit transfer over a wireless communications link by means of a transport protocol with a flow control mechanism. According to the present invention a radio resource managing unit (6) sends information regarding the bandwidth on the wireless link that the bit transfer session currently is allowed to use. This feedback information from the radio resource managing unit is used to set and update flow control parameters continuously throughout the session. Thereby optimization of the flow control parameters is facilitated, which makes it possible to enhance the end-user QoS and provide more efficient use of available radio resources.

The system comprising at least a first rate controlling means residing in a Radio Controlling Entity, RCE, arranged for controlling bit rates of a first radio link to a first mobile terminal and a second rate controlling means arranged for controlling bit rates of a second radio link to a second mobile terminal.     摘要: This invention refers to a bandwidth optimizer, dynamically operating in connections relating to radio-communications for multi-bearer systems, especially useful for DECT systems for the short-distance transfer of data packets. Such an optimizer comprises: a first block to which bit error rate (BER) is fed and which calculates the most likely number (k) of retransmissions, which is required by the quality of air interface; a second block, which receives from the first one the most likely number (k) of retransmissions and provides, on the basis of such a number, a table giving the change in transmission time with the number of bearers; and a third block, which is fed by the second one and decides the optimal number of bearers to be allocated to the connection and the output of which feeds a device for resources allocation (RA), the optimal number of bearers representing the maximum band to allocate to the connection, depending also on the traffic intensity.
