    摘要： A chassis for telecommunication gear including horizontal circuit boards includes an enclosure forming a front-accessible circuit board slot for receiving horizontal circuit boards. The circuit board slot has first connectors for receiving mating second connectors on the circuit boards, and multiple circuit board guides for guiding and securing horizontal circuit boards inserted into the slot. Adjacent pairs of the guides are spaced to receive circuit boards of predetermined widths, and at least one of the guides is removable so that it can be re-positioned within the slot for changing the spacing between adjacent pairs of the guides to receive circuit boards of different widths. The circuit boards may be telecommunication line cards.

    摘要： An electronic unit with a mother board carrier beneath a service carrier in a housing. The carriers are independently movable between retracted use positions and forward access positions for maintenance. Service components are hence of no hindrance when removing printed circuit boards from the mother board carrier. The mother board is horizontal with the primary surface facing upwards. This latter feature together with the orientation of other printed circuit boards and of the service components minimizes the frontal area of the unit and provides pathways for front-to-rear cooling air flow. A connector arrangement connects the two carriers together only when both carriers are in their retracted use positions. Flexible lengths of cable extending between the carriers together with attendant stowage and hindrance problems are thus avoided. A retaining bar structure is included which acts at multiple positions against daughter boards to hold them securely against vibration during transporting and also in use.

    摘要： An environmental protector for electronics devices in outside terminal boxes. The protector has a laminate wall which provides a moisture barrier, penetration resistant surface and EMI shield. The protector may be flexible or substantially rigid and is in the form of an open-ended container for receiving an electronics device. The container is sealed at the open end around a connector unit of the device with outgoing terminals accessible for connection purposes. The device may be potted within the container. Conveniently, the EMI shield is connected to ground by a ground element in the connector unit.

    摘要： A heat conductor has a plurality of resilient elongate elements, each being connected to a surrounding base of the conductor through two neck portions and being pivoted about its common axis. Two end portions of each elongate element are curved. When the heat conductor is mounted on a heat sink which is held over a plurality of electronic components mounted upon a printed circuit board, the curved end portions contact both the components and the heat sink with an appropriate pressure, because of the torsional action of the neck portions. The elongate elements provide short thermal paths to directly conduct the heat generated by the components to the heat sink.
