Abstract: An airbag module with an airbag packed in foil under vacuum, including a gas generator and a covering cap. The foil includes at least one predetermined tearing point. The foil is connected or can be at least partially connected to the covering cap in sections that lie next to the tear-open edges of the covering cap. The connection can be configured to take place only upon deployment of the airbag.
