    摘要: An electrical storage device is coupled in parallel to a fuel cell contained within a fuel cell power generation system. The electrical storage device is either a battery pack, a plurality of capacitors, or a plurality of supercapacitors and is capable of electrochemically oxidizing a quantity of reformer gas contained within an anode chamber of the fuel cell during transient load conditions by charging from a preset state of charge towards full capacity. The energy storage device thereby prevents large quantities of unoxidized reformer gas from entering a chamber of a combuster during transient load conditions, unoxidized reformer gas that generates a tremendous amount of heat when burned that can corrode or damage the combuster. The energy storage device discharges the excess charge when the fuel cell power generation system returns to normal load conditions or during transient load conditions when the amount of reformer gas entering the anode chamber has been reduced so that the amount of unoxidized reformer gas entering the combuster is maintained at a nearly constant level.

    摘要: A system for controlling a switch reluctance machine is provided. The system includes multiple phases located in the switch reluctance machine, each phase having multiple machine coils. Each machine coil is independently connected to a positive side switch circuit and a negative side switch circuit. Each positive side switch circuit is in electrical parallel connection with the other positive side switch circuits, and configured to control the flow of current through the machine coil to which it is connected. Similarly, the negative side switch circuits are connected in electrical parallel and configured to control the flow of current through the machine coil to which they are connected. The positive side and negative side switch circuits may be provided in a buck boost configuration or two half bridge configurations.

The machine is powered by a pulse width modulated inverter having at least a first half-bridge coupled to a first machine phase, a second half-bridge coupled to a second machine phase, and a third half-bridge coupled to a third machine phase. The operating strategy employs predetermined switching modes to minimize and distribute the power loss among the power switches in the inverter and the machine phases.

Inverter switch circuit has two or more half bridge switch circuits per phase in communication with an equal number of machine coils per phase, of the permanent magnet machine.
