A defined gap is formed between the nozzle brick opening (6; 6′; 26; 26′) and the purge plug (10; 10′) or the sleeve (30; 30′) and is filled with a refractory mass, said mass consisting of a material which can be easily bored or milled out of the mass for the purpose of replacing the purge plug (10; 10′) or the sleeve (30; 30′).
