摘要:
An explosive system is disclosed which may be used in repair of damaged casing. In a described embodiment, an explosive system includes a flexible elongated tubular container with a liquid explosive disposed within the container. As an alternative, the liquid explosive may be flowed into a wellbore without being retained within a container. The liquid explosive is detonated in the wellbore, thereby fragmenting the damaged casing and forcing it out into a formation surrounding the wellbore.

A pipe conveyed charge system, for example a junk shot, having a self-contained activating charge which may be activated by mechanical force applied through the pipe. The initiating charge is pressure actuated, and fluid pressure in the pipe is used to fire the charge. The system includes a circulating crossover coupling an explosive charge to a pipe string and including circulating ports directing fluid flow downhole to clear debris from the borehole. A ball, or other blocking material, is conveyed down the drill pipe to block circulating ports to facilitate raising pressure in the pipe to a sufficient level to fire the activating charge.

A system and method for making and using a multi-point initiation explosive device that produces an enhanced pressure wave for severing tubing, pipe or casing in an oil or gas well. At least two opposed initiators initiate a column of explosive material from opposite ends, thereby generating opposing pressure waves propagating toward a midpoint between the initial initiators. A shaped-charge assembly with a liner located at the midpoint initiates immediately prior to the arrival of the opposing pressure waves and forms a fast moving jet to pre-score the target pipe prior to the arrival of the pressure pulse propagating from the initial detonations.

A method of treating a subterranean formation surrounding a wellbore, according to which a tool inserted into the wellbore for performing a function in the wellbore is fabricated of a material that breaks up upon detonation of an explosive mounted on the tool, thus allowing the pieces of the tool to fall to the bottom of the wellbore.
