    摘要: A method for suppressing interference in a wireless communication is provided. The method comprises receiving a burst of symbols, generating a plurality of timing hypotheses for the burst of symbols, and calculating, for each timing hypothesis, a plurality of weights for an interference suppression filter based upon a subset of the burst of symbols. The method further comprises, for each timing hypothesis, filtering the subset of the burst of symbols using the interference suppression filter with the corresponding plurality of weights, and selecting one of the plurality of timing hypotheses corresponding to a selection criteria. The method further comprises equalizing and decoding the filtered burst of symbols based upon the selected one of the plurality of timing hypotheses.

    摘要: An OFDMA-MIMO receiver performs a recursive interference cancellation across several correlated subbands and several receive antenna elements to demodulate complex source symbols for several users that have been coded across several subbands and transmit antennas. The iterative parallel interference canceller (PIC) is configured to work in the presence of both spatial and frequency structure introduced by the transmitter space-frequency mapping and the actual frequency selective wireless channel. The interference canceller uses mixed decisions, confidence weights, and stabilizing step sizes in a PIC receiver, which may be used with a successive decoding architecture in a receiver that employs a combination of modulation level interference cancellation with successive decoding.

    摘要: An interference-canceling receiver processes coded, multiple-access, spread-spectrum transmissions that propagate through frequency-selective communication channels from multiple transmit antennas to multiple receive antennas in a closed-loop transmit-diversity channel. The receiver provides for repeated use of symbol-estimate weighting, subtractive cancellation with a stabilizing step-size, and mixed-decision symbol estimation. Receivers may be designed, adapted, and implemented explicitly in software or programmed hardware, or implicitly in standard Rake-based hardware, either within a Rake receiver at the finger level or outside the Rake at the user or subchannel symbol level. The receiver may be employed in user equipment on the forward link or in a base station on the reverse link.
