摘要: This abstract is based on an alternate, improvement control method, to assist the drivers who have had, or recently discovered they have hand or finger disabilities and can no longer use our easy grab ball control disc, because it is too difficult for them to pull against some of the low-end spreader models that use very heavy springs to keep the tow-behind spreader center-column-handle-lever in place, each time the slide gate porthole chute is repositioned.
This alternate control method consists of two (2) improved, modified control discs, that incorporates (fulcrum pivot mechanics) to be used in the event the operator's hand has arthritis, carpel tunnel, difficulty in closing fingers, fist, or other hand deficiencies, which makes them unable to pull and use our original twine line grab ball control disc, against the heavy force of those springs installed by the manufacturer.
These two (2) improved fulcrum-pivot-design controls will make it very easy for the driver to still open and close the slide gate porthole chute from the driver's seat, because they use (fulcrum physics) less force to move a heavier load.

摘要: The invention relates to a method in which the information contents of an image of a moving object is enhanced. The invention also relates to a system in which such a method can be carried out and to a computer program enabling a data processing unit to carry out such a method. The method is used notably in the field of medical imaging systems. According to the method first a first image of a moving object is acquired by means of a first imaging method, said image containing artifacts which are caused by the object motion. From two further images, acquired by means of a second imaging respective state of motion of the motion, there is formed a motion model which is implemented in a different manner in image processing or image forming steps, so that the information contents of either the first image or a combination image, formed from the first image and the two further images, is enhanced.

摘要: Gamma radiation events are received individually at elements of a detector array (18) at least one of the elements (P0) being defective. Each detector element converts incident radiation into a radiation event signal which is digitized by an analog-to-digital converter (42) into a coordinate position (x,y) on the detector array and energy (z). An event generator (48) generates radiation event signals for each defective element based on radiation events received at contributing elements, e.g., nearest neighbor elements (P1-P8). In a preferred embodiment, the contribution from each of the contributing elements is randomized by passing a token (56) among positions of a table (54) corresponding to each of the contributing elements. Each time a radiation event is received at the contributing element whose corresponding table position holds the token, that event also generates an event signal for the defective element and the token is passed (58). The energy of the generated event for the defective detector element is randomized (62), such as by replacing the least significant bits with random numbers.

摘要: A radiation detector package includes a radiation-sensitive solid-state element (10) having a first electrode (12) and a pixelated second electrode (14) disposed on opposite principal surfaces of the solid-state element. An electronics board (20) receives an electrical signal from the solid-state element responsive to radiation incident upon the radiation-sensitive solid-state element. A light-tight shield (40, 40′) shields at least the radiation-sensitive solid-state element from light exposure and compresses an insulating elastomer and metal element connector (30, 32) between the pixilated electrode (14) and contact pads (24) on the electronics board.

摘要: A system calibrates a solid state detector (20) for a radiation imaging device (10) in a single acquisition. A calibration phantom (40) emits radiation concurrently at at least first and second characteristic energy levels. A nuclear camera (16) generates associated sets of radiation data spanning both the first and second energy levels from the emitted radiation that is received by solid state detector (20). A means (64) determines associated centers of energy peaks and energy values of the generated data sets. A calibration means (80) calibrates at least one of gain, offset, performance and dead pixel correction based on the determined centers and peaks of the acquired data sets.

摘要: A nuclear camera system (10) includes a gantry (22, 23) disposed about an examination region (17) having detector heads (15 a,b,c) mounted to the gantry. The detector heads (15) include an enclosure (30, 34, 54, 56) defining a volume (61). A plurality of solid state detectors (40) are arranged in an array (36) within the enclosure volume. A first cold plate (46) is in thermally conductive contact with the plurality of solid state detectors. A first Peltier cooler (50) is in thermally conductive contact with the first cold plate, the first Peltier cooler provides for cooling the plurality of detectors in the array. A second cold plate (47) is located within the enclosure and is thermally insulated from first cold plate. A second Peltier cooler (52) is in thermally conductive contact with the second cold plate, the second Peltier cooler for removing moisture from the volume (61). A heat sink (56) is in thermally conductive contact with the first and second Peltier coolers. A sensor (64, 66, 68, 75) is in operative relationship with the detector head. The sensor (75) provides a signal indicative of an environmental condition within the interior volume of the detector head. A controller (24) is controllably connected to the sensor. The controller determines a modification, modification in response to the sensor signal, to a selected environmental condition within the interior volume of the detector head and provides a control instruction for the modification. An actuator (52, 66, 73) is in operative relationship with the interior volume of the detector and is controllably connected to the controller. The actuator implements a control instruction from the controller for modifying the selected condition within the detector head.

摘要: People with (AMD) Adult Macular Degeneration have great difficulty seeing, because their damaged retina sees double vision and distortion. The vision loss is a deterioration of light sensing cells of the retina. Direct or reflecting sunlight and headlights cause extreme glaring and distortion. There are magnifying binocular-fitted eyeglasses for precise detail, and an eye patch, which entirely blocks out all vision, which puts strain and pressure on the dominant eye. Not much is offered to block bright glare, distorted images and double vision associated with AMD.
This invention enables adults and children with AMD to self-apply a stick-on eyeglass multi-colored filter UV protectant disc, placed only in front of the affected eye's pupil, on the front of the eyeglass lens. An eye patch blocks all vision completely. However, this invention is an improvement, by which the user chooses optional translucent or solid multi colored, self-applied color filter discs, having different elective properties, which blocks only the affected retina from bright sun, reflections, headlight glare, double vision and distortion, without affecting the users peripheral (side view) vision.
