    摘要: A projector having a focusing lens comprises a position detector for detecting the position of the focusing lens, an image forming element for modulating light based on a video signal to form an image, a data recording unit having stored therein a correlation table indicative of a relationship between the position of the focusing lens and the amplitude of the video signal applied to the image forming element, a processing unit for calculating the amplitude of the video signal that corresponds to the position of the focusing lens detected by the position detector with reference to the correlation table stored in the data recording unit, and an image control unit for adjusting the amplitude of the applied video signal to the amplitude calculated by the processing unit, and supplying the adjusted amplitude to the image forming element.

    摘要: A first area and a second are formed in an image projected by a projector. A standard image plate is placed in a surface on which an image for the first area is projected. A standard image has been drawn on a standard image plate and is displayed in correct colors when white light is projected on the standard image plate. The projector projects white light as the image for the first area. An image for the second area is projected on a projecting surface. A user operates an operating section so that the image in the second area is closer to the standard image. A color correcting section corrects the colors of the image in the second area on the basis of information inputted to the operating section.
