摘要: A method for determining parameters for one or more air-cooling mechanisms for a computer system. A current operating temperature of a system component within a particular system is determined. A maximum operating temperature of the system component is obtained. A difference value between the maximum operating temperature and the current operating temperature is computed. A parameter of an air-cooling mechanism of an environment, which includes the system component, is selected and modified based on the differmce value between the maximum operating temperature and the current operating temperature.

摘要: An information handling system includes first processing resources, e.g., GPGPU expansion cards, in a first thermal region of the system and second processing resources, e.g., one or more CPUs, in a second thermal region. The system may be configured to perform operations including determining a loading profile of the system. The loading profile indicates power consumption information for each of the thermal regions. One or more thermal fans may be configured in accordance with a fan configuration associated with the loading profile. The fan configuration defines a fan speed and airflow direction for one or more thermal fans and determines, in accordance with the fan speed and airflow direction of each thermal fan, a rotational angle of one or more rotatable airflow guides. The rotational angle of a rotatable airflow guide influences thermal fan airflow provided to one or more of the thermal regions.

摘要: A control device for fan state includes fan connectors arranged on a substrate and connected with at least one fan. The substrate and the fan are arranged in a case of a computer. The substrate is provided with at least one communication port, at least one microphone and a microcontroller. The communication port receives temperature signals transmitted by the computer. The microphone receives volume signals within the case. A microcontroller is electrically connected with the fan connectors, the communication port and the microphone. After the microcontroller receives the temperature signal and the volume signal, the microcontroller uses them to determine whether a value of the temperature signal or the volume signal is larger than its given value. If the answer is yes, the microcontroller controls a rotational speed of the fan, turns off the fan, or provides control items displayed on a screen of the computer to choose.
