    摘要: A method and system configures operating parameters associated with an operation of a connected accessory or second device in order to mitigate harmonic interference within an operating frequency band of a wireless communication device (WCD). In response to a connection between the WCD and the second device via a physical communications interface, Accessory Authentication and Configuration (AAC) logic of the WCD receives device identifying information about the second device. The AAC logic determines candidate values for each operating parameter, based on the device identifying information. The AAC logic dynamically selects a particular candidate value for each operating parameter, based on a current operating frequency band of the WCD, and an expected level of harmonic interference. The AAC logic automatically configures each operating parameter with the corresponding selected candidate value to enable proper operation of the second device while mitigating harmonic interference within the operating frequency band of the WCD.

    摘要: A portable device, such as a handheld device (10), laptop device or other suitable portable device, employs an antenna beam selection structure that is coupled to a plurality of built-in antennas (12 and 14) of the portable device that have different beam angles with respect to each other. The plurality of built-in antennas are coupled to a satellite network positioning signal processing circuit (18) so that device positioning signals from a satellite network can be received and processed by the device. The plurality of built in antennas may be stationary or movable with respect to each other. A control circuit (20) is operative to control switching between each of the plurality of built in antennas based on detected signal strength, signal quality measurements, the number of positioning satellites detected by a satellite network positioning signal processing circuit or other suitable criteria.

The chopping frequency of the mixer is changed (305) dynamically in response to the prediction of blockers on the input signal to avoid the mixing the blocker with chopper spurs, thereby improving the response of the receiver. In some embodiments, the mixer is disabled momentarily (402) to verify that poor signal quality results from mixing chopper spurs with blockers. In hopping mode applications, the chopper frequency is changed only on channels having a low confidence factor (512).
