摘要： The present invention relates to a syringe including a barrel and a plunger. The barrel, the plunger, or both the barrel and the plunger can be made from or coated with a material that provides advantageous function and/or durability of these components. In certain embodiments, the barrel, the plunger, or both the barrel and the plunger can include or can be coated with a silicon material, such as silicon carbide or silicon oxide, or with a siloxane, such as a polymeric siloxane. In certain embodiments, the plunger can include or can be coated with a steel more durable than stainless steel. The invention also includes systems and methods employing such a syringe.
