摘要: An engine of forced air cooled type which is provided with a cooling fan fixedly mounted on an end of a crankshaft within a blower housing of the fan, and which has a plurality of meshed gears. The crankcase constitutes the lower part of the outer structure of the engine to enclose the gears and has a double-wall construction with cooling air passages thus formed therein in at least the part thereof enclosing the gears. The cooling air passages have upstream ends communicating with the delivery outlet of the blower housing and downstream ends positioned to direct cooling air against and along the outer surface of the crankcase.

摘要: Fuel changeover system for a multi-fuel engine of the type which may be driven by various fuels such as gasoline and kerosene, which enables the engine to continue the operation by another fuel when one of the fuels has run out. The system comprises two float chambers for two kinds of fuel and a cock with passages adapted to communicate both float chambers with each other for introducing the remaining fuel into the empty float chamber. The system, further, comprises a gasoline reservoir and valve means for supplying the gasoline in the reservoir to the carburetor in order to start the engine, when the gasoline in the float chamber runs out.

摘要: A breather device of an engine comprises a pressure chamber communicating with the crank chamber of the engine, an oil sump chamber communicating via a pressure-responsive valve with said pressure chamber, a breather chamber communicating via an oil holding wall with said oil sump chamber and communicating also with the engine air intake system, and oil return passage means having a downstream end submerged in oil in an oil pan, said oil sump chamber being communicative with the oil return passage means. Positive pressure in the crank chamber causes blow-bye gas wherein to flow via the pressure chamber and the pressure-responsive valve into the oil sump chamber, then to detour over the oil holding wall into the breather chamber, and then to flow into the air intake system, while lubricating oil contained in the blow-bye gas in the crank chamber is separated from the blow-bye gas in the pressure chamber, the pressure-responsive valve, and the oil sump chamber, and oil retained in the oil sump chamber is circulated back through the oil return passage means to the oil pan.

摘要: Fuel supply system for multi-fuel internal combustion engines having a selector valve for controlling the feed of fuels such as gasoline and kerosene and a vacuum actuator to operate the selector valve according to the pressure in intake passage of the engine. A valve for communicating the vacuum chamber of the vacuum actuator to the atmosphere is provided so as to be operated in the cold, so that vacuum actuator acts on the selector valve for feeding the gasoline, if the choke valve is closed.

摘要: An oil pump mounting system for an internal combustion engine of the type in which the oil pump is disposed in a pump housing formed integrally with an oil pan and feeds an oil into an oil passage extended through the output shaft of the engine. The oil pump mounting system comprises a driving shaft of the oil pump supported at both ends by the output shaft of the engine and a bearing portion formed in the oil pan, and an oil suction port formed through one side of the pump housing communicated with the surface of the oil pump on the side of the bearing portion. Thus ensuring operation even when the engine is inclined.
