    摘要: An engine of forced air cooled type which is provided with a cooling fan fixedly mounted on an end of a crankshaft within a blower housing of the fan, and which has a plurality of meshed gears. The crankcase constitutes the lower part of the outer structure of the engine to enclose the gears and has a double-wall construction with cooling air passages thus formed therein in at least the part thereof enclosing the gears. The cooling air passages have upstream ends communicating with the delivery outlet of the blower housing and downstream ends positioned to direct cooling air against and along the outer surface of the crankcase.

    摘要: An oil pump mounting system for an internal combustion engine of the type in which the oil pump is disposed in a pump housing formed integrally with an oil pan and feeds an oil into an oil passage extended through the output shaft of the engine. The oil pump mounting system comprises a driving shaft of the oil pump supported at both ends by the output shaft of the engine and a bearing portion formed in the oil pan, and an oil suction port formed through one side of the pump housing communicated with the surface of the oil pump on the side of the bearing portion. Thus ensuring operation even when the engine is inclined.

    摘要: A breather device of an engine comprises a pressure chamber communicating with the crank chamber of the engine, an oil sump chamber communicating via a pressure-responsive valve with said pressure chamber, a breather chamber communicating via an oil holding wall with said oil sump chamber and communicating also with the engine air intake system, and oil return passage means having a downstream end submerged in oil in an oil pan, said oil sump chamber being communicative with the oil return passage means. Positive pressure in the crank chamber causes blow-bye gas wherein to flow via the pressure chamber and the pressure-responsive valve into the oil sump chamber, then to detour over the oil holding wall into the breather chamber, and then to flow into the air intake system, while lubricating oil contained in the blow-bye gas in the crank chamber is separated from the blow-bye gas in the pressure chamber, the pressure-responsive valve, and the oil sump chamber, and oil retained in the oil sump chamber is circulated back through the oil return passage means to the oil pan.

    摘要: A lubricating oil pump device of an engine comprises an upper and a lower pump case and a rotary pumping mechanism of the internal-gear, one-tooth difference type housed within a housing formed between the upper and lower pump cases. Both the pump cases have oil reserving oil sumps formed therein, thereby to reserve some oil in the pump device even when the engine is stopped for a long period. Then, when the engine is restarted and the pumping mechanism operates, the oil thus reserved in the oil sumps is contacted by the moving pumping mechanism and is induced out to form oil films on the surfaces of the pump cases and of the pumping mechanism. Thus instant lubrication and sealing for effective suction are assured.

    摘要: A map display apparatus is provided to allow a user to easily find out destinations on maps without forcing him/her to perform troublesome operations. An apparatus displays a main map image showing a current position at substantially a center of a screen. The apparatus also disposes a plurality of map images around the main map image in thumbnail format such that each map image corresponds to each direction on the main map image.
