摘要: A device, system, and method for facilitating a sleep cycle in a subject, comprising selecting a waveform from a plurality of waveforms derived from brainwaves of at least one sleeping donor, wherein said waveform corresponds to at least one specific stage of sleep; and stimulating the subject with at least one stimulus, wherein said at least one stimulus is at least one of an auditory stimulus and a visual stimulus modulated with the selected waveform to entrain the brain of the subject with the selected waveform to facilitate sleep in the subject.

摘要: Brain states, which correlate with specific motor, cognitive, and emotional states, are non-invasively monitored, representing macroscopic cortical activity manifested as oscillatory network dynamics. Sensory and/or transcranial stimulation, entraining brain rhythms, effectively induce desired brain states correlated with a state of sleep or state of attention. Brain waves are recorded from a donor which are then inverted by processing and used to entrain the brain of a “recipient”. Brain states may thus be transferred between people by acquiring an associated cortical signature from a donor, which, following processing, is applied to a recipient through sensory or transcranial stimulation. This technique provides an effective neuromodulation approach to the noninvasive, non-pharmacological treatment of a variety of psychiatric and neurological disorders for which current treatments are mostly limited to pharmacotherapeutic interventions.

摘要: A method of facilitating a skill learning process or improving performance of a task, comprising: determining a brainwave pattern reflecting neuronal activity of a skilled subject while engaged in a respective skill or task; processing the determined brainwave pattern with at least one automated processor; and subjecting a subject training in the respective skill or task to brain entrainment by a stimulus selected from the group consisting of one or more of a sensory excitation, a peripheral excitation, a transcranial excitation, and a deep brain stimulation, dependent on the processed temporal pattern extracted from brainwaves reflecting neuronal activity of the skilled subject.
