The demodulation method includes: demodulating two equalized equalization signals respectively through a transmitting diversity mode; and then performing a maximum ratio combination on the demodulated signals. According to embodiments of the present invention, the two equalized signals are respectively demodulated according to a transmitting diversity mode, and then a maximum ratio combination is performed on the two signals to get a demodulated signal, which improves the performance of the demodulated signal and the equalization system.

In the field of communications, a method and a device for determining a decoding mode of in-band signaling are provided, which improve accuracy of in-band signaling decoding. The method includes: calculating a probability of each decoding mode of in-band signaling of a received signal at a predetermined moment by using a posterior probability algorithm; and from the calculated probabilities of the decoding modes, selecting a decoding mode having a maximum probability value as a decoding mode of the in-band signaling of the received signal at the predetermined moment. The method and the device are mainly used in a process for determining a decoding mode of in-band signaling in a speech frame transmission process.

An apparatus, and a user terminal are also disclosed in the present invention. By using the method and apparatus of the present invention, the SCH signal in a receiver may be restored and removed from the receive signal, and interference of the SCH on other channels may be eliminated, thereby improving performance of the receiver.

Method and apparatus are provided for estimating Time of Arrival (“TOA”). The method includes: performing channel estimation according to a Normal Burst (“NB”) free of interference and a local training sequence and generating a channel estimate, performing TOA estimation according to the channel estimate, and adjusting a synchronization position of the current NB according to a TOA estimation result. Interference to signals is cancelled before the TOA estimation, thus overcoming energy estimate deviation arising from interference in a strongly interfering radio environment, as occurs in the prior art, and preventing the impact on the TOA estimation. The disclosed methods and apparatus provide for more accurate energy estimates in a strongly interfering radio environment. The technical solution under the present invention does not require adjustment of the method of adjusting the search window.
