Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sheet from the pseudostem of the banana plant, including the steps of: cutting out a beam from a central portion of the pseudostem; cutting leaves from the beam; forming a sheet by assembling the leaves such that the latter overlap over a predetermined width; and pressing the resulting sheet.
