摘要： Described herein are mechanisms and methods that facilitate seamless handoff of an access terminal between access points (transceiver modules). A first transceiver module can be providing forward link data services to an access terminal when it requests a handoff to a second transceiver module. In response, the first transceiver module can provide data that is desirably transmitted to the access terminal to the second transceiver module. A network module can inform a plurality of transceiver modules that the second transceiver module is servicing the access terminal, and can further provide data to the second transceiver module for transmittal to the access terminal.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for subscribing to multimedia delivery services in a data network. A method is provided for subscribing to receive a subscription package in a data network. The method includes receiving resource requirements associated with the subscription package, and determining whether or not selected resources are available to meet the resource requirements associated with the subscription package. The method also includes excluding a first portion of services associated with the subscription package, if it is determined that the selected resources fail to meet the resource requirements associated with the subscription package, and subscribing to receive a second portion of services associated with the subscription package, wherein resource requirements of the second portion of services are met by the selected resources.

摘要： A wireless communications device is configurable to communicate with either one of two networks over a wireless medium, each of the two networks having a different air interface protocol. Additionally, the wireless device includes stored provisioning information for a set of networks of a first type and can map this first provisioning information into a second format for use with networks of a second type. The device also includes a non-volatile memory for storing default provisioning information so that some information remains available regardless of what is erased from the memory. The default provisioning information is enough to establish a connection over one of the available networks and allow reconstruction of a provisioning list.

摘要： Systems and methods are described that mitigating coverage gaps near region boundaries using a plurality of multi-sector broadcast (MSBC) paging channels in wireless networking environments. One or more MSBC paging channels can be assigned unique time slots, such that although the channels can be identical, they are disjointed in time. Accordingly, such channels and/or dynamically generated paging zones associated therewith can be overlapped in areas where wireless device density is high and requires substantial paging capacity. Additionally, a single paging channel can be employed in multiple instances in a paging region without overlap to mitigate inter-channel interference.
