Abstract:
An inkjet recording device is described in which maintenance is performed by a maintenance unit upon a recording head. The maintenance unit is located on a base unit. The base unit includes a wall portion supporting a plurality of gear shafts protruding in a width direction from the wall portion.
Abstract:
A transporting apparatus includes a base unit made of resin, a tray configured to support a sheet, a transporting section supported by an upper portion of the base unit and configured to transport the sheet, and a feeding section supported by a lower portion of the base unit and including a feeding roller configured to contact an upper surface of the sheet supported by the tray and to feed the sheet toward the transporting section. The base unit is integrally formed with an inner-side guide which defines an inner side of a curved path which is configured to guide the sheet fed by the feeding section to the transport section.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine includes a crankshaft, a variable flow rate oil pump apparatus including oil pumps having a drive shaft thereof operatively connected with the crankshaft, and a rod-shaped oil passage switching valve operatively connected with the oil pumps. The oil passage switching valve and the drive shaft of the oil pumps are arranged such that axial directions thereof are parallel to an axial direction of the crankshaft. Also, the oil pumps and the oil passage switching valve are disposed so as to overlap each other in the axial direction of the crankshaft. With such configuration of the engine, the effect on various components around the pump can be reduced, while downsizing the oil pump and the engine.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus including a feeding device feeding a recording medium in a first direction along a first path, a recording portion disposed in the first path and located between an upstream and a downstream connecting portion of the first path to record an image on the medium, a second path connecting the downstream connecting portion to the upstream connecting portion, a path switching portion including a roller pair disposed downstream of the downstream connecting portion in the first direction and being capable of (i) ejecting the medium such that a first edge thereof is the leading edge, by rotating in a forward direction while the medium is nipped therebetween, and (ii) feeding the medium into the second path such that a second edge thereof opposite to the first edge is the leading edge, by rotating in a reverse while the medium is nipped therebetween.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus configured to record images on front and back surfaces of a sheet, including: a head which ejects ink onto the sheet for recording; a sheet-supply roller which contacts the sheet so as to transfer the sheet for supplying to the head; a sheet-supply path which is provided between the sheet-supply roller and the head, which has a U-shape, and through which the sheet is transferred such that one of surfaces thereof opposite to the other of the surfaces contacted by the sheet-supply roller faces the head; and a sheet-stopping control section configured to control the sheet-supply roller such that the sheet transferred by the sheet-supply roller is stopped for a first time in the sheet-supply path in a state in which the sheet is deformed so as to have a U-shape, after an image has been recorded on the front surface of the sheet and before an image is recorded on the back surface thereof.
Abstract:
A structure for supporting a pulley holder is provided with a pulley holder for rotatably supporting a pulley around which a belt is movably wound, a frame member that slidably supports the pulley holder along the direction of stretching the belt, and an urging member that elastically urges the pulley holder in a belt tensioning direction in which the belt is tensioned. The pulley holder has fitting portion that is stepwise formed along the belt tensioning direction, and the frame member has a fitting opening whose edge is stepwise formed corresponding to the fitting portion.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus includes a recording head, a carriage mounted with the recording head and reciprocates in a reciprocation direction, a conductive wire extending from the carriage, a regulating wall which extends along a reciprocation direction of the carriage and suppresses the conductive wire from swelling in a direction separating away from the carriage, and a fixing member which fixes other end side of the conductive wire to an apparatus body by forming a curved portion inverted in the reciprocation direction of the carriage at a predetermined position between the regulating wall and the carriage in the conductive wire and pressing the other end side of the conductive wire toward the regulating wall.
Abstract:
An image-recording device including a carriage, a recording head, a guide rail, a flexible flat cable, a flexible ink supply tubes, and a top cover. The recording head is provided at the carriage. The guide rail extends in a widthwise direction of a recording medium fed in a feeding direction perpendicular to the widthwise direction. The flat cable has a broad surface extending in a horizontal direction and bent into U-shape so that an upper region of the flat cable faces the top cover whereas a lower region of the flat cable faces the base. The carriage is reciprocally movable in the widthwise direction. The flat cable is oriented upward from the carriage at a prescribed angle with respect to a horizontal plane and extends in the widthwise direction, so that at least the U-shaped bent portion of the flat cable is in continuous contact with the top cover.
Abstract:
The image recording apparatus includes: a recording head; a re-feeding roller configured to re-feed a one-side recorded medium toward the recording head; and a flap provided on an upstream side of the re-feeding roller in a conveying direction of the one-side recorded medium. The flap extends from an upstream end to a downstream end in the conveying direction. The downstream end of the flap is closer to the re-feeding roller than the upstream end in the conveying direction. The flap is configured to support and introduce the one-side recorded medium to the re-feeding roller. A downstream end portion of the flap has: a first region opposing the re-feeding roller; and a second region except the first region. The downstream end portion has a cutout portion provided in at least a part of the second region.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus including a feeding device feeding a recording medium in a first direction along a first path, a recording portion disposed in the first path and located between an upstream and a downstream connecting portion of the first path to record an image on the medium, a second path connecting the downstream connecting portion to the upstream connecting portion, a path switching portion including a roller pair disposed downstream of the downstream connecting portion in the first direction and being capable of (i) ejecting the medium such that a first edge thereof is the leading edge, by rotating in a forward direction while the medium is nipped therebetween, and (ii) feeding the medium into the second path such that a second edge thereof opposite to the first edge is the leading edge, by rotating in a reverse direction while the medium is nipped therebetween, a feed roller disposed in the second path and feeding the medium in a second direction along the second path, into the first path at the upstream connecting portion, and a momentary-forward-rotation controller which implements, while the roller pair is feeding the recording medium into the second feed path and before the feed roller initiates the feeding of the recording medium toward the upstream connecting portion of the first path, a momentary forward rotation of the roller pair by temporarily switching the rotation direction of the roller pair to the forward direction from the reverse direction in order to feed the recording medium in a direction opposite to the second feeding direction.
