摘要: In a variable displacement type oil pump, a swing member accommodates a pump forming member, and swings to vary a quantity of change of a volumetric capacity of each pump chamber. A biasing member biases the swing member in a direction to increase the quantity of change of the volumetric capacity of each pump chamber. A first control oil chamber applies a first torque to the swing member in a direction to reduce the quantity of change of the volumetric capacity of each pump chamber. A second control oil chamber applies a second torque to the swing member in a direction to increase the quantity of change of the volumetric capacity of each pump chamber, wherein the second torque is larger than the first torque. A switching mechanism switches between supply and drain of working oil with respect to the second control oil chamber.

摘要: In a lubricating device of an internal combustion engine having a crank chamber and a transmission chamber, which is arranged in the rear of the crank chamber so as to accommodate therein a gear transmission provided with a main shaft and a pump shaft. The pump shaft is shared by a scavenging pump and a feed pump for feeding oil to a part to be lubricated and to which motive power from the crank shaft is transmittable. An axis of the pump shaft is arranged below an axis of the main shaft. A pump gear located on the pump shaft meshes directly with a primary driven gear, which meshes with a primary drive gear located on the crank shaft so as to form a primary gear reduction mechanism in cooperation with the primary drive gear.

摘要: The object of this invention is to simplify the timing system of all types of internal combustion engine. The system eliminates existing conventional timing trains. The hydraulic, mechanical or electrical/electronic direct timing systems that form the subject of the invention offer minimal resistance and minimal transmission. The piston strokes are given directly by the crankshaft by means of a system fixed thereto which via a mechanical or hydraulic or electrical or electronic system transmits the strokes to the cylinder valves. The system can be connected to all types of indirect transmission and has adjusting systems that allow it to be adapted to suit all types of internal combustion engine.

摘要: An engine power unit for a vehicle has a crankcase made up of tow left and right crankcase members, and a lubricant feed pump disposed in one crankcase member in such a fashion that one side surface of pump rotors of the feed pump lies on the mating surface of the crankcase members. The feed pump is mounted on one end of the shaft of the feed pump while a drive gear for rotating the shaft is disposed on the opposite end of the shaft. A lubricant oil filter to which oil is delivered from the feed pump is disposed on the other crankcase member. Thus, the structure for supplying lubricating oil is simplified, and the power unit is reduced in size in its entirety.

摘要: A first check valve of a hydraulic control system allows oil to flow in only a direction from a first oil pump toward an oil receiving portion. A second check valve allows oil to flow in only a direction from a second oil pump toward the oil receiving portion. A third oil passage is configured to provide communication between a merging point of a first oil passage and a second oil passage, and the second oil pump by bypassing the second check valve. The third oil passage includes a throttle mechanism. The third oil passage is configured to restrict a flow rate of oil that is discharged from the second oil pump.

摘要: An lubrication device for an engine includes: a crank case which freely rotatably supports a crank shaft and also which stores oil at its lower part; an oil strainer which is so arranged as to be fixed in the crank case; and an oil pump which suctions the oil at the lower part in the crank case via the oil strainer. In the lubricating device, the machining efficiency can be improved by reducing the time of machining to a crank case to thereby decentralize machining processes, and also the oil temperature can be reduced. A crank case cover covering part of a crank case and coupled with the crank case is provided with an oil suction passage which leads to an oil pump, and an oil strainer communicates with the oil suction passage via a connecting pipe which is a member different from the crank case.

摘要: An internal combustion engine has a power unit case having a crankcase, a first housing flange and a second housing flange. The crankshaft axis and the output shaft axis define a reference plane. An oil pump has an oil pump shaft, having an oil pump shaft axis, disposed at least partially in an oil pump chamber. A normal projection of the oil pump shaft axis onto the reference plane is located between the crankshaft axis and the output shaft axis. A first housing cover is mounted to the first housing flange on a first side of the power unit case. A separate oil pump cover is mounted to the second housing flange on the first side of the power unit case to close the oil pump chamber.
