Abstract: A pool filter core, comprising two portions, a first portion and a second portion, wherein each of the two portions may be halved or truncated cylinders, wherein the portions are configured to engage one another along the vertical edges of the portions, such that when the portions engage one another, an open cylinder is formed that is configured to support a filter substrate and allow for water to flow from outside to inside.
