    摘要： An adjustable vehicle seat arrangement includes a plurality of strikers connected with a vehicle frame, an inboard vehicle seat, and an outboard vehicle seat. At least one outboard seat rear striker includes a latching section divider dividing the outboard seat rear striker into at least two laterally spaced apart latching sections. The outboard vehicle seat includes an outboard seat rear latch that cooperates with the outboard seat rear striker and an outboard seat front latch that cooperates with an outboard seat front striker. The outboard seat is generally laterally aligned with and laterally offset from the inboard seat. The outboard seat is laterally adjustable and the outboard seat rear latch is configured to engage the outboard seat rear striker at each of the at least two laterally spaced apart latching sections. A method for laterally adjusting a vehicle seat and a vehicle seat assembly are also disclosed.

The vehicle seat includes a seat cushion pivotally supported at a rear portion thereof to a vehicle floor by a pair of spaced apart base brackets, cooperating members for causing a forward portion of the seat cushion to be releasably supported to the vehicle floor, a seat back pivotally supported to the seat cushion, recliner devices for releasably locking the seat back relative to the seat cushion, the seat cushion and the seat back being foldable so as to be put together when the seat back is released from the seat cushion by the recliner devices, and a linkage mechanism mounted to the seat cushion, the linkage mechanism including a first linkage section for causing the recliner devices to be actuated synchronously with pivotal movement of the vehicle seat, and the first linkage section being coupled to one of the base brackets and the recliner devices.

    摘要： In an occupant protecting device including an expandable bag housed within a belt for holding back an occupant upon collision of a vehicle, an outlet opening 331 in a buckle-side duct 28 and an inlet opening 183 in a tongue-side duct 18 are opposed to each other through a gap &agr;, and a seal member 35 made of a rubber and integrally provided with an outer lip portion 352 and an inner breakable portion 353 is mounted to the outlet opening 331. When a gas generated by an inflater upon collision of the vehicle is supplied to the buckle-side duct, the breakable portion 353 of the seal member 35 is broken to bring the lip portion 352 into close contact with the inlet opening 183, so that the gas is supplied from the buckle-side duct 28 through the tongue-side duct 18 to a shoulder belt, thereby expanding a bag housed in the shoulder belt. Thus, it is possible to easily and reliably perform the sealing of a gas passage in a connection between a buckle 31 and a tongue 19.

    摘要： To enhance an external appearance of a buckle-side duct and to prevent the entry of dust into an opening in the buckle-side duct in an occupant protecting device including an expandable bag accommodated within a belt for holding back an occupant upon collision of a vehicle, an outlet opening defined in a tip end of the buckle-side duct and turned outwards of a vehicle body is connected with inlet openings defined in a tip end of a tongue-side duct and turned inwards of the vehicle body. A gas generated by an inflater upon collision of the vehicle is supplied from the buckle-side duct via the tongue-side duct to a shoulder belt to expand the bag accommodated in the shoulder belt. The outlet opening in the buckle-side duct opens sideways away from the occupant sitting in a seat, rather than upwards. Therefore, the outlet opening is not directly visible to the occupant, leading to the enhanced external appearance. Also, when there is no lid in the outlet opening it is difficult for dust to enter through the outlet opening.
