Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for applying concealment of components of an electronic device. In one embodiment, an electronic device may include a component that is disposed behind a display (e.g., a transparent organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display) that is configured to selectively become transparent at certain transparency regions. Additionally, the electronic device includes data processing circuitry configured to determine when an event requesting that the component be exposed occurs. The data processing circuitry may control portions of the display to become transparent, to expose the component upon the occurrence of the event requesting that the component be exposed.
Abstract:
A switching device comprising a plurality of ingress ports and a plurality of egress ports. The switching device is arranged to receive data packets through the ingress ports and to forward received data packets to respective ones of the egress ports. The switching device further comprises an ingress module for each of the ingress ports, each ingress module being arranged to receive data packets from a respective single one of the ingress ports and to store the received data packets in one of a plurality of data structures provided by the ingress module, each ingress module being further configured to select a data packet from one of the plurality of data structures, and to request permission to transmit the selected data packet to an egress port. The switching device also comprises at least one egress module arranged to receive a plurality of requests for permission to transmit data packets through a particular egress port, the request being generated by the plurality of ingress modules, and to select one of the plurality of requests.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for a media device docking station having one or more acoustic channels to transfer sound to or from the media device while the media device is docked with the docking station.

Abstract:
A data packet switching system having a central controller and a number of peripheral controllers each incorporating at least one queue for storing packets of information received from a peripheral data packet source. Each queue in each peripheral controller includes a queue size detection logic adapted to communicate to the central controller the approximate state of the size of the corresponding queue. The scale for the approximate state being arranged to be empty, nearly empty, active, busy, very busy, nearly full and full.

Abstract:
A data switch for handling packets of information; the switch includes input traffic managers, ingress routers, a memoryless cyclic switch fabric, egress routers and output traffic managers all acting under the control of a switch controller. Each ingress router includes a set of virtual output buffers one for each output traffic manager and each message priority. Each data packet or cell as it arrives is examined to identify the output traffic manager address and its message priority. The switch controller uses a first arbitration and selection process to schedule the passage of the next cell across the switch fabric which the ingress router uses a second arbitration and selection process to select the appropriate virtual output queue for use in the switch fabric transfer.
Abstract:
A tyre pressure monitoring or warning system comprising at least one receiver responsive to signals transmitted by transmitters associated with one or more tyres. The system including a memory which stores a list of identity tags captured by the receiver, and a list of associated confidence values for each identity tag indicative of the confidence that the stored identity tag corresponds to a transmitter that belongs to the vehicle. The list may be split into a member and a candidate list comprising those identity tags that are deemed to refer and that possibly refer respectively to transmitters associated with the vehicle respectively. Initiators may be provided to initiate transmission from the transmitters in order to locate the position of each tyre.
Abstract:
A tyre pressure monitoring or warning system comprising at least one receiver (112) responsive to signals transmitted by transmitters (106, 107, 108, 109) associated with one or more tyres (102, a, b, c, d, 104) the system including a memory which stores a list (150, 152) of identity tags (156) captured by the receiver (112), and a list of associated confidence values (158) for each identity tag (156) indicative of the confidence that the stored identity tag (156) corresponds to a transmitter (106, 107, 108, 109) that belongs to the vehicle. The list may be split into a member (150) and a candidate (152) list comprising those identity tags (156) that are deemed to refer and that possibly refer respectively to transmitters (106, 107, 108, 109) associated with the vehicle respectively. Initiators (114) may be provided to initiate transmission from the transmitters (106, 107, 108, 109) in order to locate the position of each tyre (102a, b, c, d, 104).
