摘要: A belt plough assembly is used to deflect material on a conveyor belt. The belt plough assembly includes a support structure, and a blade operatively positioned by the support structure on the material carrying side of the conveyor belt and orientated to deflect or redirect outlying material on a conveyor belt back inside the alignment of the skirts. The support structure includes a housing having an upright slot within which the blade is slidably mounted. The blade rests on the belt under its own weight, but is freely movable relative to the support structure. This enables the blade to maintain contact with the belt and follow any undulations in the belt, and self-adjust for wear on the blade. A damper may be provided for damping movements of the blade.

摘要: A disc brake assembly has a pair of pivoted brake arms carrying brake pads located on respective opposite sides of a disc. The brake arms are biased towards each other by springs to clamp the brake pads against the disc. The disc brake assembly also includes a cam member having two double-sided cams, each of which co-acts with a cam follower mounted on a respective brake arm. The cam member is connected to an actuating cylinder. When the cylinder is energized, the inner cam surfaces drive the cam followers apart to release the brake. When the cylinder is not energized, the outer cam surfaces prevent outward movement of the cam followers thereby positively locking the brake pads against the disc. The disc brake also includes a mechanism for automatically adjusting the position of the brake pads to compensate for wear.

摘要: If a conveyor belt creeps sideways, belt training idlers are used to return it to a central position. Conventionally the training idlers do this by pivoting about an axis normal to the conveyor belt surface (i.e. they "slew"). The slewing of the present training idlers however is also accompanied by a sideways tilting movement to increase the realigning influence of the idler. The combined movement of the idler is enabled by spherical bearing (10) which lines frame (4), carrying idler roller (5), to base frame (9). This bearing acts as a modified universal joint, with one degree-of-freedom removed by support rollers (11) attached to a shaft through the spherical bearing along axis (12) in the direction of belt travel on each end of the shaft. When respective servo roller (3) [alternatively pairs of servo rollers (13) may be used] is contacted by a misaligned belt edge it serves to slew the frame (4) to which it is attached about axis (6) passing through the bearing. At the same time a respective roller (7) on frame (4) is driven down an angularly adjustable inclined track (8) attached to base frame (9) so that the idler is tilted as well as slewed.

摘要: A toy gun which is capable of firing a plurality of elasticized bands, either singularly or in rapid succession, and which is operative so that each one of a plurality of elasticized bands is stretched under the tension of its own elasticity along a projectile path longitudinal with the gun between a point of anchorage at the forward end of the gun and a rotatable escapement wheel at the rearward end of the gun so that, when the escapement wheel is permitted to rotate under the influence of a rotational bias provided by the force of the previously loaded elasticized bands upon the release of a trigger mechanism, the elasticized bands are consecutively released from engagement with the escapement wheel to be propelled along the projectile path and forwardly of the gun. The wheel includes a plurality of spaced apart radially extending sections that have successively increasing radii over substantially the entire outer-most periphery of all of the sections.
