摘要： A safety device and method for protection of the integrity of well barrier(s) or other interfacing structure(s) at an end of a riser string or a hose includes a releasable connection in the riser string or hose, the releasable connection arranged to release or disconnect during given predefined conditions in order to protect the well barrier(s) or other interfacing structure(s). The safety device safety device includes at least one sensor to monitor at least one of tension loads, bending loads, internal pressure loads and temperature. The sensor provides measured data relating to at least one of tension loads, bending loads, internal pressure loads and temperature. An electronic processing unit receives and interprets the measured data from the sensor. An electronic, hydraulic or mechanical actuator or switch is arranged to receive a signal from the electronic processing unit and initiate a release or disconnect of the releasable connection.

摘要： The invention is directed to a system for electromagnetic communications that includes a semiconductor die; at least one amplifier on the die to amplify an input signal and generate an output signal; and an active bias control component on the die for adjusting biasing of the amplifier so that the amplifier is operable in a plurality of frequency bands. In one embodiment, a PCS band and W-CDMA power amplifier may be integrated on the same power amplifier die, and different output power requirements may be addressed by the use of an Si DC-DC converter. Such a converter may provide efficiency enhancements to the overall system through the use of dynamic bias control under active power control situations from the network. In addition, the converter may be used in a voltage up-converter state that allows a W-CDMA optimized power amplifier to operate at PCS frequencies and output power levels.

An end boss comprising a short pipe section arranged through an opening of the vessel and extending to a lower end with an outwardly extending flange on the pipe section arranged between the outer layer and the inner liner, and a lid arranged at an upper end of the pipe section. The inner liner extends upwards through the opening of the pipe section to the lid with at least one gas tight seal interfacing against the inner liner. A pre-tensioning device is arranged on the outside of the inner liner, in a groove nearest to the lid and pipe section, around the upper end of the pipe section, which, regardless of the pressure in the vessel, presses the inner liner against the at least one gas tight seal.

摘要： A method and apparatus for generating short electronic pulses using a modified differential trigger that is partly an analogue sinusoidal voltage and partly a selectable, DC voltage. The differential trigger is applied to a differential base band pulse generator having a NAND gate and AND gate. The trigger is applied to both NAND inputs and to one AND input. The NAND output is applied the other AND input. Such a circuit is an OFF state for all input states. However, as the input switches state, the NAND gate delay causes the AND gate to be ON briefly, generating a short pulse. The timing of this pulse can be controlled by varying the constant DC voltage. By using fast switching SiGe CML gates, short pulses with a controllable time off-set can be generated that are suitable for use in automotive radar applications, using only sub-GHz clocks.

The hanger bracket has an upper end for being mounted to the surface and a bottom end that defines a socket. The socket includes an opening through it that is smaller than the diameter of the ball member. The socket's opening defines a radius so that the ball is received in the socket such that the down rod extends through the opening.
