Abstract:
A method of debugging an active unit in a computer system having an active unit for routing computer connections and a standby unit configured to route computer connections in the event the active unit fails. The method comprises the standby unit receiving synchronization data from the active unit in the form of update messages; storing the received synchronization data in local storage; receiving a request for data to be used to perform debugging on the active unit; searching local storage for the requested data; if the requested data is found on the local storage then returning that data to the source of the request; if the requested data is not found on the local storage then requesting the requested data from the active unit, receiving the requested data from the active unit, and returning the received requested data to the source of the request.
Abstract:
A method and system of assigning DSP resources in a voice gateway which first seeks to assign the calls to DSPs on a best fit basis using information in a best fit (BF) pool. If a call can not be assigned on a BF basis, the call is assigned to a DSP based on information in a load balancing (LB) pool. The BF pool indicates which DSPs will be completely loaded by calls using various codecs and which DSPs have calls that have a first channel penalty (FCP). The LB pool indicates the number of calls each DSP is handling.
Abstract:
A method for enabling a first telecommunication device to conduct multiple simultaneous telecommunication sessions through a single carrier connection is provided. A first telecommunication session, which includes a first carrier connection between the first telecommunication device and the mobility server and a second carrier connection between the second telecommunication device and the mobility server, is established. Also, a mid-call signaling channel is established to handle interaction between the mobility server and the first telecommunication device while the first telecommunication device is connected through the first carrier connection. The mid-call signaling channel is also employed to notify the first telecommunication device of an incoming telecommunication session request from a third telecommunication device. The method also includes establishing a second telecommunication session, which includes the first carrier connection between the first telecommunication device and the mobility server and a third carrier connection between the third telecommunication device and the mobility server.
Abstract:
An active call handover arrangement for managing a handover between a plurality of telecommunication devices associated with a public extension number is provided. The arrangement includes a mobility server configured to manage a telecommunication session between a telecommunication device of a third-party caller and a first telecommunication device of the plurality of telecommunication devices. The arrangement also includes a switch component configured to be associated with at least one telecommunication device of the plurality of telecommunication devices. At least one telecommunication device is configured to include mobility client software. The switch component is also configured to enable a user to perform the handover between the first telecommunication device and a second telecommunication device of the plurality of telecommunication devices.

Abstract:
A client device capable of utilizing a plurality of media for facilitating communication. The plurality of media may include a first medium implemented based on a first set of communication standards and a second medium implemented based on a second set of communication standards, wherein the second set of communication standards is different from the first set of communication standards. The client device may include a protocol module for translating a user request into a data set, wherein the user request may pertain to a communication feature among a plurality of communication features. The client device may also include a mapping module for ascertaining a utilized medium that is utilized by the client device, wherein the utilized medium is one of the plurality of media. The mapping module may also convert the data set into at least part of a signal suitable for signaling through the utilized medium.
