摘要: A monitoring system for use with a power generation system is provided. The monitoring system includes a plurality of sensors that include at least one sensor that is configured to detect an interruption of an electromagnetic field within the power generation system, wherein the interruption of the electromagnetic field corresponds to at least one fault within the power generation system. The monitoring system also includes a computing device that is coupled to the sensor. The computing device includes an interface configured to receive a signal representative of the interruption of the electromagnetic field. A processor is coupled to the interface and programmed to identify a location of the sensor to enable the identification of a location of the fault.
