Abstract:
Resizing and/or repositioning a target object related by containment to one or more related object laid out on a computer user interface. Original sizes and/or positions of the related objects to the target object resized and/or repositioned are stored. During the resize and/or reposition operation of the target object, an impact on a related object is calculated based upon a change from the stored original sizes and/or positions of the related object.
Abstract:
Techniques for configuring a dynamic document template and for generating formatted documents based thereon are provided. A data source is associated with a dynamic document template. Static text is inserted into the template. One or more placeholders are inserted in the template. Expressions may be associated with static text and placeholders in the template. Each expression may reference one or more data elements of the data source. One or more formatted documents may be generated based on the dynamic document template. In the case of placeholders, a data element referenced by an expression associated with a placeholder may be displayed in a formatted document in place of the placeholder in a display format (e.g., a color, a font type, etc.) selected according to the expression. Likewise, a display format of static text may be selected based on an expression associated with the static text.

Abstract:
A visual time filter control (“VTFC”) tool enables a user to select one or more time periods for which the user desires to time filter data via a graphical user interface (“GUI”). According to one aspect, a computer-implemented method for filtering data by time includes displaying a GUI of a VTFC tool. The GUI includes a plurality of selectable time periods. The method further includes associating the VTFC tool with data, receiving a selection of one or more of the plurality of selectable time periods via the GUI of the VTFC tool, filtering the data in accordance with the selection to create a filtered dataset of the data, and displaying the filtered dataset.
Abstract:
A parsing and indexing mechanism for dynamically generated reports is provided. Upon detection of a dynamically generated report, a data source for the dynamically generated report may be identified based on metadata or other information associated with the report. Crawleable or machine readable metadata and data may be generated using the data source such that data represented in the report and/or other relevant data from the data source can be indexed and searched.
