摘要: A heat distribution system is configured to melt snow that is proximate wheels on an automobile. The heat distribution system has a heat exchanger attached to the automobile and configured to heat air flowing past the heat exchanger creating hot air. A fan is proximate the heat exchanger and configured to move the hot air. A manifold is proximate the heat exchanger and configured to receive the hot air from the fan. A first duct, a second duct, and a transverse duct are joined to the manifold. A third duct and a fourth duct are attached to the transverse duct. Each duct terminates in a nozzle. The hot air is pushed through the manifold and out the nozzles melting the snow.

摘要: A system is provided for conveniently moving an entire computer environment among a plurality of computing platforms. The system includes a portable storage medium able to couple to a host machine of a computing platform. The portable storage medium stores an emulator program able to run a guest operating system (OS) and an executable script able to prepare and launch a computer environment based on the guest OS. The host machine includes a computer environment based on a native operating system (OS), the native OS being able to detect and mount the portable storage medium, the native OS also being able to execute the executable script.

摘要: A method, apparatus and system for simulating the release of radio opaque dye within a vasculature system. The method, apparatus and system include simulating a vessel tree of the vasculature system for display on a display device, activating a particle-based contrast software effect, and injecting a plurality of physics-based particles into a confined vessel space of said vessel tree. The method and apparatus may also include fading down over a period of time an opacity of each of the physics-based particles and opacifying a portion of a vessel wall.

摘要: A portable medical simulation system and method employs an artificial patient with a built-in haptic interface device, with up to four carriages for engaging different diameter catheters. A catheter stabilizer between each carriage expands and contracts in an accordion fashion as the carriages move in relation to each other, preventing the catheter from bending and bowing. A contrast display visual effect derived from a particle emitter software tool simulates the release of radiopaque dye within a simulated vasculature system for display on a monitor. A computer software based system is used for generating haptic effects on the catheter through control signals passed to each of the carriage motors controlling translation movement of the catheter and magnetic particle brakes controlling rotational movement of the catheter.
