摘要： A vehicle seat comprises a seat assembly including a seat pan, a backrest assembly including a backrest pan, a backrest height adjustment mechanism connected between the seat pan and the backrest pan and including a height adjustment knob, and a backrest tilt adjustment mechanism connected between the seat pan and the backrest pan and including a tilt adjustment knob. The backrest pan can be tilted regardless of its vertical position relative to the seat pan and can be moved vertically regardless of its tilted position relative to the seat pan. The tilt adjustment mechanism further includes a connector assembly connected to and tiltable in response to rotation of the tilt adjustment knob and including a pair of relatively slideable connector members, one of the connector members being connected to the tilt adjustment knob and the other of the connector members being connected to the backrest pan. The height adjustment mechanism and the tilt adjustment mechanism include means to limit vertical and tilting movement, respectively, of the backrest pan.

摘要： A vehicle seat comprises a pair of laterally spaced apart support plates, a pair of laterally spaced apart arm rests, and independently adjustable arm rest support assemblies for adjustably supporting each arm rest on an associated support plate so that each arm rest can be shifted and also pivoted to different positions in a vertical plane. Each arm rest assembly comprises a pair of elongated support links; a link plate; and pivot means for pivotably connecting the link plate and one end of one elongated support link to the arm rest whereby the arm rest can be pivoted to different positions thereabout. The other elongated support link has one end pivotally connected to the link plate and its other end pivotally connected to the support plate. Adjustable connector means are provided for connecting the other end of the said one support link to the support plate and comprise: a ring gear connected to the other end of the said one support link; a spur gear engaged with the ring gear; an eccentric pin connected to the spur gear; means for rotatably connecting the eccentric pin to the support plate; and a control knob connected to the eccentric pin and adjustably rotatable to effect rotation of the eccentric pin and spur gear and planocentric rotation of the ring gear, whereby the said one support link and the arm rest attached thereto are shiftably movable to desired locked positions relative to the support plate.

摘要： A seat supporting assembly for use in vehicles and the like for resiliently supporting a seat. The seat supporting assembly includes a base which is to be secured to the vehicle and a seat support positioned vertically above the base and resiliently supported by a coil spring. The seat supporting assembly also includes a ride height adjustment assembly and an adjustable vertical movement stop assembly for limiting the upward vertical movement of the seat support. The ride height adjustment assembly includes a plurality of pivotable links extending between the coil spring and the seat support. The links are connected by means of a threaded shaft and are relatively movable at their upper ends to cause vertical extension of the height adjustment assembly thereby causing variation in the height of the seat support. The threaded shaft projects forwardly from under the seat support and is readily accessible to the vehicle operator. The vertical movement stop assembly includes adjustable means for limiting the upward movement of the seat support with respect to the base. The stop assembly is adjustable to permit various ranges of vertical movement of the seat support to be consistent with the position of the seat support as set by the ride height adjustment assembly. The seat supporting assembly also includes means for indicating the relative positions of the ride height adjustment means and the vertical movement stop assembly so that their relative positions can be properly aligned.

摘要： A vehicle seat comprises a seat pan, a backrest pan, and a pair of connector plates connected to opposite lateral sides of the seat pan. Backrest height adjustment means are connected between the connector plates and the backrest pan to enable the backrest pan to be raised or lowered vertically to desired positions relative to the seat pan wherein it then becomes locked. The backrest height adjustment means comprises: a pair of spaced apart brackets connected to the backrest pan, each having a vertical track and a vertical guide slot, a rotatable control rod extending through the guide slots and having a pair of track sprockets fixed thereon and engaged with the vertical tracks, planocentric gears, including a spur gear fixed to one end of the control rod and a ring gear having internal teeth engaged with the spur gear and fixed to one of the connector plates, an eccentric pin rotatable by a height adjustment knob located outside of the connector plate and having eccentric cylindrical portions, said pin engaged with a circular hole in the spur gear and with a circular hole in the connector plate, whereby knob rotation causes slight harmonic travel (oscillation) and rotation of the spur gear and corresponding rotation of the control rod sprockets along the tracks to cause vertical motion of the backrest pan. A stop member on the spur gear is engageable with stop pins on the ring gear to limit vertical travel. A slideable connection is provided between the other connector plate and the backrest pan.

Adjustable lumbar support means between the resilient pad and pan comprises: a support frame mounted on the rod, a manually operable adjustment lever pivotally connected to the support frame and extending across the frame and out through a slot in the backrest pan, a lumbar support member in the form of a generally rectangular resilient flexible forwardly convex grid having its lower edge connected to the support plate and having its upper edge connected to the lever, whereby raising or lowering of the lever causes a decrease or increase, respectively, in the convexity of the lumbar support member and the overlying pad. The generally flat, telescoping strut, which also serves as an upper stop means for the seat, eliminates the necessity for a conventional spring strut and permits the load to be all imposed on rearwardly located spring means.

摘要： An adjustable seat suspension system for a vehicle seat for a tractor, earth working equipment, or the like, and in which the seat is resiliently supported by a pressurizable air bag. The seat suspension system provides a manually settable lever by means of which the operator can infinitely vary the height adjustment of the seat for a normal operating position, depending on his size. The seat suspension adjusting mechanism includes a valve for regulating the flow of pressurized air to or from the air bag. The arrangement is such that for any vertical height position selected by the operator, the air controlling mechanism permits the seat to oscillate up and down through a given range of movement, say for example six and one-half inches. In addition to a normal operating oscillation range for any selected height adjustment, the seat suspension control system of the present invention includes a floating pivot point in the control linkage which can shift from its normal operating position to thereby in effect disconnect the control valve and protect it when the seat movement exceeds the limits of the valve spool, which limits are small compared to overall linkage movement requirements.
