摘要： A significant drawback in prior art methods of fastening vinyl siding to the exterior of houses is the objectionable appearance of the junction between horizontal and vertical retaining strips around right angle openings (windows and doors) in the walls being covered. Typically, these channel shaped retaining strips are butted up against one another at the corners. Gaps and rough edges resulting from the cutting and fitting of these pieces are quite visually objectionable. Applicant's invention comprises a corner piece which is firmly attached to the wall at the juncture of the horizontal and vertical retainer strips and covers the juncture between the horizontal and vertical retainer strips. This corner piece comprises a generally L-shaped base plate and integrally formed first and second flange means extending outward and parallel thereto to provide a continuous L-shaped barrier that forms a channel which cooperates with and contains the ends of the vertical and horizontal retainer strips adjacent the corner of the opening.

摘要： The invention relates to a stabilizer for a pressurized gas cylinder characterized by a cylindrical wall having a diameter dc and a convex bottom having a curvature radius rc, comprising a molded shipping device characterized by a bottom and a top,the top having (a) an upper surface, (b) a downwardly projecting recess, relative to said upper surface, adapted to receive the gas cylinder, the recess comprising a cylindrical wall having a diameter, ds, approximately equal to dc, terminating in a concave surface having a curvature radius, rs, that is approximately equal to or greater than rc, and (c) external walls projecting downwardly from the upper surface;the bottom having (a) a lower surface; (b) a plurality of feet protruding from the lower surface, wherein the bottom of the feet are molded to receive the upper surface of the top whereby a plurality of devices can be stably stacked. Surprisingly, it has been found that stabilizers of the claimed configuration are exceedingly stable for transporting pressurized gas cylinders and the like, even at high speeds. Advantageously, the stabilizer is hollow and, accordingly, exceedingly light weight.

摘要： Applicant's invention comprises a corner piece which is firmly attached to a wall at a juncture of horizontal and vertical retainer strips and covers the juncture between the horizontal and vertical retainer strips, providing a barrier to direct water and/or moisture from invading behind such horizontal and vertical retainer strips. The invention comprises a generally L-shaped base plate and integrally formed first and second flange means extending outward and parallel thereto to provide a continuous L-shaped barrier that forms a channel which cooperates with and contains the ends of the vertical and horizontal retainer strips adjacent the corner of the opening, and flaps which cover seams formed between such retainer strips and the corner piece in the channels.
