摘要: A tool gripping and alignment plate arrangement, for accurately gripping and holding a tool in perfect alignment. The alignment plate arrangement comprises a flat unitary tool gripping plate. An irregular bore opening is formed in the tool gripping plate, for gripping a tool therein. The irregular bore wall opening is comprised of a first wall portion of 180 degrees in circumference, and a distortable second wall portion of less than 180 degrees in circumference. A bore-facing tool relief portion is arranged on a distal end of the distortable second wall portion.

摘要: A die press assembly for producing punched parts from a travelling web of material, the die press comprising: a lower die shoe securing a compound punch holder plate thereon, the compound punch holder biasedly gripping a compound punch tool therein, the lower die shoe also supporting a reciprocably movable stripper holder plate, wherein the compound punch extends slideably through a biasedly gripped stripper holder tool in the stripper holder plate; an upper punch holder movable with respect to the lower die shoe, the upper punch holder having a center punch holder plate which biasedly grips a center punch tool therewithin; and a die holder plate fixedly attached to the center punch holder plate with a biasedly gripped die tool slideably enclosing the center punch, wherein each of the biasedly gripped tools are in co-axial alignment in distortable bores in their respective plates.

摘要: A solid tool gripping and alignment plate, for accurately gripping and holding a tool placed therein in perfect alignment. The tool gripping and alignment plate consists of a flat unitary tool gripping plate with a smooth non-circular opening formed in the tool gripping plate for gripping a tool therein fully 360 degrees about a tool's periphery upon adjustment of the gripping plate. A single threaded adjustment member is arranged through a side of the gripping plate for biasing a portion of the smooth non-circular opening in the tool gripping plate from a non-circular shape into the circular shaped opening for circumferentially gripping of a tool therein.

摘要: An elongated punch arrangement for a punch press assembly for punching a sheet metal plug through a die. The punch arrangement comprises an elongated punch having a distal end and a proximal end. A bore is longitudinally arranged in the elongated punch. An elastomeric insert is securably disposed within the bore. The insert has a distal end extending distally beyond the distal end of the punch. The distal end of the insert preferably comprises at least three dome shaped extensions for pressing engagement of a plug during movement of the punch within the die during the punching operation.

摘要: An arrangement for adjustably enabling the holding of a tool in a tool holder plate for punch press machine. The tool holding arrangement comprises a tool holder plate having a size adjustable tool gripper opening therein. An adjustment bolt bore is arranged adjacent the size adjustable tool gripper opening, wherein the adjustment bolt bore has an upper end of conical shape and a lower end opening of pyramidal shape with trapezoidally shaped walls. An expandable adjustment gap is arranged between the size adjustable tool gripper opening and the adjustment bolt bore. A pair of flexure slots are arranged in the tool holder plate, wherein the flexure slots have a first end extending from a location diametrically opposed from one another and adjacent the tool gripper opening to a second location opening in the adjustment bolt bore, and wherein portions of the tool gripper opening, the adjustment gap, the adjustment bolt bore and the flexure slots define a pair of flexible gripper claws therebetween. Changes in the adjustment gap by adjustment of the bolt in the bolt bore enhances the evenly opened size of the tool gripper opening to permit the tool to be properly installed therein.

摘要: A tool gripper assembly arrangement for holding a tool accurately in a holder plate. An elongated gripper bore opening is arranged within the holder plate, for receipt of an elongated tool within that gripper bore opening. A pair of thin, flexible, curvilinear gripper wings arranged between the wedge receiving channel and the gripper bore opening. An elongated gripper-wing pressing-wedge arranged within the elongated gripper wedge receiving channel; and a wedge and wedge-channel-engaging adjustment bolt is arranged between adjacent surfaces of the wedge and the wedge receiving channel arranged to bias both the wedge and the pair of gripper wings radially inwardly toward a longitudinal axis of the gripper bore opening, so as to form a perfect tool gripping-circle around and move the tool held within the elongated gripper bore.

摘要: A gripping plate assembly for use in a punch press, wherein the gripping plate assembly comprises a planar gripping plate having an upper front side and a lower side, a first bore extending through the gripping plate, for receiving a tool for use in a punch press. A second bore is arranged through the gripping plate having an overlap with the rectilinear groove-cut at the first side of the articulable tab. A threaded bolt is adjustably received in the second bore. The threaded bold has a head with a sloped sidewall for sliding engagement with the sloped first side of the articulable tab so as to provide a displaceable bias thereaginst during rotative advancement or retraction of the threaded bolt within the second bore, thereby effecting a change in the circularity of the wall of the tool receiving first bore.
