    摘要: In a computer, keyboard, and flat-screen monitor support assembly a base is adapted to support a desktop-type computer housing thereon. A keyboard support tray pivotally is mounted to the base and extends outwardly therefrom. An upstanding support arm having a first end, and a second end, is attached to the base at one and to a flat-screen monitor at an opposite end. The opposite end of the support arm is spaced above the base to allow various differently sized computer housings to be positioned under the flat-screen monitor.

    摘要: An automated cutter bed employs a sealer which is mechanically coupled to a tool carriage and moves with it along a first coordinate direction. A first roller is connected with a second roller disposed at the take-off end of the table by an air impermeable sheet which is tensioned between the two rollers by a resilient member housed within each of the rollers causing a preload to be exerted on the air impermeable sheet material. The first roller moves between ends of the table paying out a length of the air impermeable material. As the carriage moves to the cutter datum, equalization is effected by the preloads given in each of the first and second rollers.

    摘要: A side seal assembly is provided in a conveyorized work supporting table with vacuum holddown for conveying work material covered with an air impermeable overlay sheet. The table has first and second longitudinally extending side members and has a plurality of bristle blocks forming a work supporting surface which are movable by a conveyor undersurface. The work supporting surface has first and second longitudinally extending side edges spaced laterally inwardly of the first and second side members respectively. The bristle blocks include a set of bristle blocks positioned side by side along the length of the table and define one of the side edges of the work supporting surface. The side seal assembly includes a stationary side seal having an outward edge and an inward edge and is fixed relative to one of the side members of the conveyorized table to extend longitudinally along the table over a marginal area of the table located outwardly of and adjacent to one of the side edges of the work supporting surface. A plurality of movable, semi air permeable side seals are provided and are each associated with and to be movable in unison with bristle blocks defining the one side edge. Each of the movable side seals is a thin strip of material covering an area of the associated bristle block adjacent to the side edge to inhibit the overlay sheet from being drawn by the vacuum of the vacuum holddown into the bristles of the bristle block in the covered area.

    摘要: In an apparatus for minimizing vacuum losses from a permeable support surface having one or more layers of sheet-type work material positioned thereon, the support surface includes opposed lateral edge surfaces, each defining an upper and lower section. At least two upper seals are coupled to the frame, each engaging the upper section of one of the lateral edge surfaces and extending approximately the length of the support surface. At least two side seals are also provided and are coupled to the frame, each engaging the side section of one of the lateral edge surfaces and also extending approximately the length of the support surface. During operation of the apparatus, vacuum is drawn through the permeable support surface and causes the upper and side seals to be drawn and held against the lateral side sections, forming a seal there against.

    摘要: In an apparatus for retaining one or more layers of sheet type work material on a permeable support surface, at least two vacuum manifolds are positioned under the support surface, each defining at least one vacuum inlet for drawing vacuum therethrough. Proportional control valves are coupled to the manifolds for selectively controlling the location and intensity of the vacuum being drawn, such that work material positioned on the support surface is held thereto by the vacuum drawn through the inlets and the support surface. The intensity of the vacuum is selectively controlled by the valves to concentrate vacuum in the area along the work material where a work operation is being performed.

    摘要: In an automated machine for cutting cloth or fabric and similar sheet materials the knife is made from a high-alloy tool steel to provide the knife with a sharp cutting edge capable under a given set of conditions to cut sheet material for a far longer period of time before requiring re-sharpening than the case with the knives previously used in such machines. A sharpener is also provided which allows the knife after becoming dull to be returned to a sharp condition while removing only a minimum amount of the knife material, thereby further increasing the service life of the knife.

    摘要: A stop brake for a supply roll mandrel includes at least one brake arm pivotally connected to a support and capable of being pivoted out of braking engagement with the mandrel in response to advancement of sheet material from a supply roll against the return bias of a spring element. The brake arm cooperates with sheet material which is caused to follow a path around a dancer bar secured to the lower end of the brake arm causing the disengagement of the brake. The brake is caused to cooperate with the outer surface of a mandrel upon which a supply roll is mounted through a intermediary of a strap which holds the mandrel surface against rotation when advancement of sheet material is stopped.
