    摘要: Methods for forming an insulative body of an implantable medical device connector module assembly employ an injection molding process, whereby first and second shots of insulative material form core and an overlay portions, respectively. In some methods, a panel portion of an electrical component is mounted between opposing surfaces of a mold such that a finger-like portion of the component extends into a cavity of the mold, with a first side thereof touching another surface of the mold and a second, opposite side exposed within the cavity; following first shot injection, the core portion captures the finger-like portion in relatively rigid relation thereto. When two types of connector bores are formed, a color indicator may be engaged with a feature of the core portion that is located in proximity to a connector bore of the first type, and then the overlay portion is formed over the indicator.

    摘要: A wheel cylinder piston made of powdered metal is provided with a through hole and a steel or powdered metal insert of hard metal received in and fills the hole. The hardened insert acts directly against a tang of the brake shoe, eliminating the need for reaction pins. The piston of the assembly is made in a die set having a through rod to define the hole, the piston green preform being sintered and sized before or after the insert is in place.

    摘要: Methods for forming an insulative body of an implantable medical device connector module assembly employ an injection molding process, whereby first and second shots of insulative material form core and an overlay portions, respectively.     摘要: A contact component of an implantable medical device connector module assembly includes a threaded bore in fluid communication with a connector bore thereof, and a flanged bore in fluid communication with the threaded bore. A perimeter surface of the flanged bore creates a shutoff with a pin during injection molding to form an insulative body of the assembly, and a perimeter surface of an insulative bore formed around the pin is preferably flush with that of the flanged bore of the contact component. A centerline axis of the flanged bore is preferably aligned with that of the threaded bore, for example, so that the molded insulative bore has a centerline axis aligned with that of the threaded bore of the contact component.

    摘要: A wheel cylinder piston is made of sintered powdered metal having a boss provided with a flare on the bossed end surface to assist in holding the wheel cylinder boot in place on the piston. The piston is of the type that directly engages an abutment on a brake shoe instead of utilizing a pin to transmit force between the piston and the brake shoe. The flare is formed by striking a peripherally extending surface section of the boss end with an annular mandrel, the striking action axially compressing a cylindrical portion of the boss and creating an annular shear fracture extending substantially parallel to the center line of the boss. The compressed section extends to a depth controlled by the striking force and stroke and characteristics of the powdered metal material. The sheared cylindrical portion flares outwardly to form a flared end on the boss.

    摘要: A transporting device for lifting a relatively heavy roll of material to a selected level so that it can be moved and loaded onto production apparatus. The device comprises a platform base on casters that supports a fixed vertical, tubular column, within which is mounted an elongated, rotatable screw threadedly engaged to a ballscrew nut that moves up and down with the column when the screw is turned. Connected to the screw nut by a support assembly is a spindle that extends outwardly at a right angle from the column. The screw is driven by an electric motor mounted on the platform base, powered by the battery and connected through a gear reduction unit to the screw. A handle is attached to the platform base for moving the entire device and controllable switches are provided for moving the spindle up and down within preselected limits.
