摘要： The subject invention provides a work support apparatus (20) including a spring pin assembly (32) for biasing a work piece (22) against a work stop (24), which includes a table (26) having a recess (30) with the spring pin assembly (32) disposed therein. The spring pin assembly (32) includes a housing having a side wall (48) and a top wall (50) having a circular opening (52) therethrough and a domed inner surface (54) extending upwardly from the side wall (48). A retaining pin (40) having a flat bottom surface (56) and a semi-spherical bottom portion (58) is urged against the domed inner surface (54) by a compression spring (42). A spring cup (44) transmits forces between the compression spring (42) and the flat bottom surface (56) of the retaining pin (40). A tool receiving device receives a tool for operating a holding mechanism (34) for securing the spring pin assembly (32) in the recess (30) such that the spring pin assembly (32) is removable from the top surface (28) of the table (26).

摘要： A device for shielding a surgical incision or other sensitive area of the body from contact with clothing or other items. The shielding device has a protective member including a substantially rigid frame, a plurality of substantially rigid support legs, each of which extend from the protective frame in an angular relation toward the body of the user and terminate in a contact end and a plurality of contact elements on the contact end of each of said support legs for contacting the body of the user. The device also includes a flexible support loop attached to the protective member and forming a loop for placing around the neck of the user to suspend the protective member from the user's neck and position it over the area to be shielded. The support elements may include a disc-shaped member which has a contact face with a surface having a convex curvature for contacting the body of the user, and the surface of the contact face may have a relatively low coefficient of friction for contacting the body of the user in substantially non-frictional engagement. The frame may be a lightweight rod material which forms the perimeter of a substantially planar geometric shape and the frame may form a quadrilateral having rounded corner portions with each of the support legs fixed to one of the corner portions.

摘要： The present invention provides an advance warning traffic safety device for warning pedestrians, members of a road work crew, and other persons adjacent a road that a vehicle has strayed from the proper traffic path on the road and may endanger such persons. The advance warning safety device provides an audible alarm which serves as an advance warning to such persons downroad of the traffic safety device. The traffic safety device includes a pressurized fluid container for supplying compressed air to a plurality of horns in response to a vehicle collision with the traffic safety device. An initiator mechanism for initiating the audible alarm includes a frangible gas cap which prevents release of the compressed air to the horns until broken by a plunger-type component, which is moved into glass or other breakable materials breaking contact with the cap by a pendulum device which pivots in response to displacement of the traffic safety device from its generally free standing position adjacent the road in response to a vehicle collision with the traffic safety device.
