A compound represented by the formula: where: M is a transition metal selected from group 4 of the periodic table; each R1 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hydrocarbyl, substituted hydrocarbyl and functional group, and any two R1 groups may be linked, provided that if the two R1 groups are linked, then they do not form a butadiene group when M is Zr; R3 is carbon or silicon; R4 is hydrogen, hydrocarbyl, substituted hydrocarbyl or a functional group; R5 is hydrogen, hydrocarbyl, substituted hydrocarbyl or a functional group, R4 and R5 may be bound together to form a ring; R6 is carbon or silicon; each R7 is hydrogen; each R8 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl, hexyl and the isomers thereof; R10 is -M2(R16)h— where M2 is B, Al, N, P, Si or Ge, h is 1 or 2; each R9, R11, R13 and R14 and R16 is hydrogen, hydrocarbyl, substituted hydrocarbyl or a functional group, and two R16 groups may be linked together to form a ring; each R12 and R15 is carbon or silicon; and a, b, c, d, e, f, and g are independently 0, 1, or 2.
Abstract:
The present invention provides curable and cured propylene-based elastomers, optionally including a diene, and having isotactic polypropylene crystallinity, a melting point by DSC equal to or less than 110° C., and a heat of fusion of from 5 J/g to 50 J/g. The present invention also provides blend compositions comprising any of the propylene-based elastomers described herein. The present invention also provides compositions comprising any of the propylene-based elastomers described herein and 1 to 100 parts by weight of inorganic filler per 100 parts of polymer. The present invention also provides films, fibers, fabrics, molded objects, and extruded forms which include any of the inventive compositions described herein.

This invention further relates to a process to polymerize unsaturated monomers using the above compositions.
