摘要： A ship is provided with a through-hull well extending from the upper deck 3 through the main deck 2 to the ship''s bottom. A derrick 4 is positioned on the upper deck above the well. To assemble a multi-unit load for lowering to the sea bottom, a sliding platform 10 at the main deck level is moved over the well opening. A sliding crane just below the upper deck then transports a first load unit from a storage area adjacent the well to the platform. The crane is then withdrawn, the load unit is restrained against lateral movement in vertical guides, and is raised up into the derrick. Additional load units are delivered in this manner to the platform and coupled to the unit(s) above it to produce the final load. The platform is then slid back from the well opening and the load is lowered by the derrick to the sea bottom.

摘要： A diving bell having three parts, a control chamber at the top center, a work chamber beneath the control chamber, and an annular ballast chamber surrounding the control chamber. Outlets are provided at the top and bottom of the annular ballast chamber to connect the inside thereof with the outside medium. A pump is provided to transfer water back and forth between the work chamber and the ballast chamber in order to retain a buoyancy reserve and to facilitate control of the connection and watertightness of the diving bell on an underwater base platform.

摘要： A system for connecting an oil pipeline to an underwater system of piles consists of a baseplate anchored to the seabed with the aid of a drilling ship. The baseplate is provided with a pulley and a locking element. By means of a cable, an end of a frame bearing the first section of pipe to be connected to a conduit is displaced until it locks in the element. The frame also bears a guide structure. A tool bearing connectors coupled by a conduit is then lowered and introduced into the guide structures successively to obtain the desired connection.

摘要： This disclosure is directed to a method of transporting a flowline or flowline bundle for installation in an offshore petroleum field wherein the fabrication of the flowline is land based, after which the full-length flowline is towed (at a sufficient depth below the surface of the water) to the installation site, so as not to be affected by adverse sea conditions while in tow. Each free end of the line is adapted with a connecting apparatus for connecting to submerged connecting assemblies or structures. When the flowline is drawn down to the connecting assemblies, connection is made thereto just prior to the final settlement of the flowline to the ocean floor.

摘要： A means, which allows a multipipe riser to be remotely connected to a base located on the ocean floor from a floating vessel, has, formed on the base, a fixed rigid vertical post and, formed on the riser, a column at the lower end thereof which column mates with the post. A pulldown line is threaded through a suitable structure on the base from a surface vessel and attached to the column on the riser so that the column can be pulled down over the post by pulling on the line. Since various pipes in the riser need to communicate with specific pipes in the base, the riser and base have means for rotating the riser on a vertical axis as the column engages the post to orient azimuthally the riser to the base.

摘要： A transfer system for offshore petroleum production has a vertically movable riser extending from a collection tank on the ocean floor to a storage tanker on the ocean surface. The riser is releasably attachable by a pivotal connection to the tanker during flowing operation and disconnectable during storms or otherwise violent sea states. In the disconnected mode, the riser remains submerged under the ocean surface to avoid excessive structural loading. The riser is articulated and moored by a system of weights and floats to maintain tension within acceptable stress limits throughout a wide range of changes in vertical and some horizontal movement of the tanker.

摘要： A connector for joining the end of a riser 3 to the upper end of an immersed conduit 5 from an underwater drilling well. This connector may be rapidly disconnected when any abnormal tractive force is exerted by the column 3. The connection is effected by the action of jacks 15 which pivot cams 13 against flange surface 5a of the conduit, and by the subsequent action of jacks 17 which pivot cams 12 against barrel surface 4a and lock them with the wedge rings 20. Jacks 25 release the riser 3 from the barrel 4 of the connector.
