摘要:
An apparatus for separating a ticket from a ticket sheet containing a plurality of tickets, each of the tickets being separated from an adjacent ticket by a line of perforations. The apparatus includes a cutting part having a feed passage, first and second spaced feed rollers positioned within the cutting part for conducting the ticket sheet along the feed passage, and a cutting roller positioned within the cutting part between the first and second feed rollers for cutting a ticket sheet at the line of perforations. The cutting roller includes an axle and a surface having first and second ends surrounding a length of the axle. The surface of the cutting roller includes a central portion having a first diameter forming a first cutting edge on a circumference thereof, and further includes first and second outer portions. The first outer portion is located between the first end of the surface and the central portion, and the second outer portion is located between the second end of the surface and the central portion. Each of the first and second outer portions has a second diameter which is less than the first diameter and forms a second cutting edge which is smaller than the first cutting edge. A driver is provided for driving the first and second feed rollers at predetermined speeds to bring a line of perforations on the ticket sheet into engagement with the cutting edges of the cutting roller, and a controller is coupled to the driver for controlling the speed at which each of the feed rollers is driven. The feed rollers are driven at different speeds so that parts of the ticket sheet on opposite sides of the line of perforations are pulled in opposite directions while the line of perforations is cut by the cutting edges of the cutting roller thereby separating a ticket from the ticket sheet.

A ticket-printing device has a ribbon sensor and a mode-switching circuit. The mode-switching circuit automatically selects different printing conditions depending on whether or not the ribbon sensor detects the presence of an ink ribbon. The ink ribbon is wound on a supply spool and take-up spool. When the ink ribbon is replaced, a ribbon fixture holds the supply spool and take-up spool in correct relative positions so that they can be easily slipped onto a supply spool shaft and take-up spool shaft in the ticket-printing device.

A ticket issuing apparatus includes a feed passage which is branched into plural guides at one end thereof which are connected with each of a plurality of medium accommodating parts and arranged in strata, and merged into one. The apparatus has a feed passage which passes through the upper, rear and lower parts of the medium accommodating parts in this order and is guided to a front wall thereof. A medium separating part, a magnetic processing part and a printing part are respectively disposed along the feed passage, and a discharge stacker is connected with the other end of the feed passage. The medium handling apparatus removes curl of the medium before it is issued by returning the medium to the medium accommodating parts by a given amount.

A medium handling apparatus for conveying a continuous elongated ticket sheet formed of a plurality of tickets extending along a length of the ticket sheet. Each of the tickets has a given width extending transverse to the length of the ticket sheet and is connected to a contiguous ticket by a line of perforations. The apparatus includes a hopper accommodating the ticket sheet folded along the lines of perforations separating the tickets, feed rollers for conveying the ticket sheet, a feed guide interposed between the hopper and the feed rollers, and a load member attached to the feed guide facing a surface of the ticket sheet. The load member introduces a frictional resistance between the ticket sheet and the load member as the ticket sheet is conveyed to the feed rollers.

A ticket processing terminal device includes a hopper to store medium that is to become prescribed tickets, a separation and pick-up section for separating and picking up one sheet of medium at a time from the hopper, a stacker to store those of the tickets inserted through the insertion opening which are replaced by the medium, a print section for printing on the ticket that has been inserted through the insertion opening or the medium picked up from the hopper, and is to be discharged through a discharge opening, a transport path to transport the tickets and medium between the above mentioned component elements, and a ticket information reader for magnetically or optically reading the information that has been given to the ticket, and a magnetic write section disposed along the transport path for writing, erasing or rewriting on the magnetic stripe if the ticket inserted through the insertion opening or the medium picked up from the hopper has such a magnetic stripe. The terminal device can accept a plurality of tickets, temporarily store them, and subsequently reissue either modified versions of less than the original number inserted or a new medium to replace the plural inserted tickets.
